About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead all facets of resort operations. The ideal candidate is a hospitality professional who combines strong business acumen with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. As General Manager, you will be the driving force behind operational excellence, team performance, financial health, and the overall reputation of the resort.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Services Management
Develop and implement strategies to continually elevate the overall guest experience across all touchpoints.
Manage guest inquiries, requests, and feedback with a strong focus on satisfaction and long-term retention.
Coordinate and supervise on-site guest and client visits, ensuring seamless execution at every stage.
Champion a culture of exceptional hospitality, embedding service excellence into every team and function.
Property & Operations Management
Oversee the complete handover and ongoing management of resort plots, amenities, infrastructure, and common areas.
Manage day-to-day resort operations including front desk, room reservations, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage services.
Ensure the smooth functioning of recreational facilities, common areas, and all guest-facing amenities.
Collaborate closely with maintenance teams to uphold property standards and resolve issues proactively and promptly.
Financial Management
Prepare, own, and manage the full hospitality operations budget, including P&L accountability.
Monitor revenue streams, control expenses, and drive financial performance in line with business targets.
Develop and execute revenue management strategies to optimize occupancy rates and overall profitability.
Identify and implement cost-effective operational measures without compromising service quality.
Staff Management & Team Leadership
Lead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of resort staff across all departments — front desk, housekeeping, F&B, and maintenance.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance work culture.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development.
Ensure adequate staffing levels and skill coverage across all operational areas at all times.
Marketing & Sales
Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive guest acquisition, increase occupancy, and grow resort revenue.
Oversee both online and offline marketing efforts including digital presence, partnerships, and promotional campaigns.
Build relationships with travel agents, corporate clients, and event organizers to expand the resort's market reach.
Event Planning & Management
Plan, coordinate, and execute resort events including corporate conferences, weddings, celebrations, and special occasions.
Offer end-to-end event planning services to guests, ensuring flawless delivery and high satisfaction.
Quality Control
Establish and maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service quality across the property.
Conduct regular inspections and quality assessments, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
Safety, Security & Compliance
Design and enforce comprehensive safety and security protocols to protect guests, staff, and property.
Stay current with local laws, hospitality regulations, and industry standards, ensuring full organizational compliance at all times.
Key Skills & Attributes
Proven leadership and organizational capabilities with the ability to manage large, cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset.
Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience in budgeting, P&L management, and revenue optimization.
In-depth knowledge of hospitality industry trends and local regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in hospitality management software and relevant computer applications.
Problem-solving ability with a calm, decisive approach under pressure.
High attention to detail with an unwavering commitment to quality.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Minimum 15–20 years of experience in hospitality management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role at a resort or hotel property.
Demonstrated track record of driving operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
