Senior Software Developer

Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience in backend
software development, microservices, and scalable application architecture. The ideal
candidate should have strong expertise in Object-Oriented Programming, Design
Patterns, Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, REST APIs, caching, and
containerization, along with a good understanding of system design principles.
Prior experience in the IoT or Network Security domain will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend
applications.
• Apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and established Design
Patterns to build maintainable software.
• Participate in Design Thinking and contribute to technical solution design.
• Design and develop scalable systems and microservices-based applications.
• Apply system design principles at a beginner-to-intermediate level.
• Develop and maintain Microservices Architecture and ensure effective service
boundaries and responsibilities.
• Implement Event-Driven Architecture for asynchronous and distributed
processing.
• Design and implement microservice-to-microservice communication using
appropriate synchronous and asynchronous mechanisms.
• Develop secure, reliable, and well-documented REST APIs.
• Work with message brokers such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Implement appropriate caching mechanisms and cache patterns to improve
application performance and scalability.
• Work with Redis for caching and distributed data use cases.
• Containerize applications using technologies such as Docker and contribute to
container-based deployments.

• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, DevOps, and product teams to
deliver high-quality solutions.
• Perform code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and continuously
improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Required Skills
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Good knowledge of Design Patterns and software engineering best practices.
• Understanding of Design Thinking and solution-oriented problem solving.
• Experience building scalable and maintainable applications.
• Basic understanding of System Design, including scalability, availability,
reliability, and service decomposition.
• Hands-on experience with Microservices Architecture.
• Understanding of Event-Driven Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with at least one message broker:
o Apache Kafka, or
o RabbitMQ
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
• Understanding of microservice communication patterns.
• Experience with containerization, preferably Docker.
• Strong understanding of caching mechanisms and cache patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Redis.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle, debugging, testing, and
code quality practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Good to Have
• Prior experience in the IoT domain.
• Prior experience in Network Security / Cybersecurity domain.
• Experience with distributed systems and asynchronous processing.

• Exposure to cloud platforms and CI/CD practices.
• Experience troubleshooting performance and scalability issues in distributed
applications.
