Job Title:
Line Engineer – Beverage / Packaged Drinking Water
Department:
Production / Engineering / Maintenance

Manufacturing Plant (CSD / Packaged Drinking Water)

Eligibility Criteria
Qualification:
B.Tech / B.E. – Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in high-speed beverage or packaged drinking water lines
- Mandatory participation in at least 2 major line overhauls / annual shutdowns
Mandatory Equipment Exposure:
- High-speed filling & packaging lines: Sidel / Krones / KHS
- Bottle blowing machines
- Fillers (CSD / Water)
- Labelers
- Packers / Shrink wrappers
- Conveyors
- Basic knowledge of air compressors & utilities
Key Responsibilities
Line Operations & Maintenance
- Ensure smooth operation of high-speed bottling and packaging lines
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues
- Improve asset utilization, line efficiency, and output
Overhaul & Shutdown Activities
- Participate in annual/major line overhauls
- Dismantling, inspection, replacement, and reassembly of components
- Alignment, calibration, and commissioning post-overhaul
- Coordination with OEMs and service engineers
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure GMP, food safety, and plant safety compliance
- Support audits and inspections
- Maintain maintenance and breakdown documentation
Continuous Improvement
- Drive downtime reduction and process improvements
- Support Kaizen, TPM, and Lean initiatives
- Train operators and technicians
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong hands-on experience in high-speed beverage lines
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, sensors, drives & PLC basics
- Strong troubleshooting and RCA skills
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts
- Good communication and teamwork skills
