Role: Head – Digital & Data Transformation

Location: Mumbai

Reporting To : Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Role Purpose

The Head – Digital & Data Transformation will drive the organization's digital transformation initiatives across Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) project lifecycle and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) for businesses spanning Renewable Energy, Data Centres, and Green Power infrastructure.

The role will focus on leveraging digital platforms, advanced analytics, AI/ML, IoT, and emerging technologies to enhance project execution, operational efficiency, asset performance, and business decision-making.

Working closely with the CIO and other CXOs, Head – Digital & Data Transformation will ensure deployment of secure, scalable, and future-ready digital solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity standards, and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Strategy & Transformation

• Define and execute the enterprise digital transformation roadmap aligned with the company's growth in Renewable Energy, Data Center infrastructure, and large-scale EPC programs.

• Identify digital opportunities across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and O&M operations.

• Drive adoption of digital technologies to improve productivity, cost control, project visibility, and operational performance.

Renewable Energy & Green Power

• Lead the implementation of digital solutions for EPC project lifecycle management

• Enable real-time visibility into project progress, cost, schedule, risk, and quality through digital dashboards.

• Drive implementation of digital asset management platforms for renewable energy projects including solar, wind, and emerging green energy assets.

• Deploy predictive maintenance and performance optimization models using AI and advanced analytics.

• Drive end-to-end digitization of the Green Power business lifecycle, covering lead to opportunity, sales, project delivery, and ongoing customer services.

• Lead the development and roadmap of CMS (Site Monitoring) and CMMS platforms to support EPC project delivery and O&M operations through real-time monitoring, maintenance planning, and asset performance management.

Data Centre Digital Infrastructure

• Drive end-to-end digitization of the Data Centre business lifecycle, covering tendering, sales and project delivery

• Support digital enablement across the data centre design, build, and operations lifecycle.

• Design and implement enterprise analytics framework to track key business KPIs including Sales pipeline, Opportunity Conversion, Project Performance and Revenue realization,

AI, Automation & Enterprise Process Efficiency

Identify and implement AI, automation and advanced analytics use cases across both project and enterprise functions to improve productivity and decision-making.

Drive enterprise process efficiency through AI-led automation across corporate functions such as:

• AI-based spend analytics, contract intelligence and vendor evaluation in Procurement

• Chatbots and AI assistants for internal productivity

• Workflow automation across project approvals, procurement cycles and reporting

Evaluate and scale emerging technologies such as:

• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

• Generative AI

• Internet of Things (IoT)

• Advanced Data Platforms and Analytics

• Intelligent Automation and Robotics Process Automation (RPA)

Enterprise Digital Platforms & Data Architecture

• Establish integrated digital platforms connecting ERP, project management systems, engineering tools, and asset management solutions.

• Build enterprise data platforms enabling real-time analytics and decision intelligence.

• Ensure digital solutions are scalable, interoperable, and aligned with enterprise architecture.

Cybersecurity & Secure Digital Architecture

• Ensure all digital platforms and field technologies are built with security-by-design principles.

• Collaborate closely with the CIO and Cyber Security teams to align digital initiatives with enterprise cybersecurity frameworks.

• Ensure secure integration of IT and OT environments across project sites, renewable plants, and data centre infrastructure.

CXO Collaboration & Business Alignment

• Work closely with the CIO to align digital initiatives with enterprise IT strategy and technology architecture.

• Partner with CXOs and business unit leaders to drive digital initiatives delivering measurable business outcomes.

• Enable digital adoption across engineering, project management, procurement, and O&M teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering ( Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Computer Science or related discipline).

• MBA or postgraduate qualification in Information Technology / Digital Transformation preferred.

Experience

• 15–20 years of experience with at least 8-10 years in digital transformation, technology leadership, or enterprise platforms.

• Experience within EPC, infrastructure development, renewable energy, power sector, construction technology, or data centre industries.

• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale digital transformation programs.
