About the role
Lead – IT and Automation
Location: Mumbai
Reporting To: Chief Information Officer
Role Purpose
This role will lead the enterprise digitalization across EPC and Data Centers businesses by leveraging business automation, emerging technologies (AI, IoT, mobility, advanced analytics), SAP S/4HANA, project & operation management platforms, and integrated IT infrastructure. This role is accountable for end-to-end design, governance, and delivery of complex digital and IT transformation programs, enabling faster project execution, cost optimization, operational efficiency across engineering, projects, construction and Data Center plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Digital & Business Automation
- Define and execute the Digital & Business Automation roadmap aligned to EPC and Data Center business objectives.

Identify and prioritize automation opportunities across:
- Tender Management
- Engineering and design workflows
- Project execution and controls
- Procurement, contracts, and logistics
- Construction site operations
- Data Center plant operations & O&M
- Drive adoption of workflow automation, RPA, low-code/no-code platforms, and intelligent business processes.
- Leverage digital twins to simulate, optimize, and validate EPC design, construction sequencing, and operational performance.
- Lead digital enablement of project management and project controls functions across EPC and Data Center programs.
- Standardize and enhance tools for Project planning and scheduling, Progress measurement and executive dashboards.
- Enable integrated, real-time visibility across portfolios, mega EPC projects, and Data Center programs.
- Apply digital twin–driven project controls for scenario modeling, risk simulation, and performance forecasting.
- Provide strategic leadership for SAP S/4HANA, covering Finance, MM, PS, PM, and SD.

Own integration of SAP with:
- Project management & controls tools (Primavera P6, MS Project)
- Engineering platforms including BIM, CAD, Digital Twin, and DMS systems
- Asset management, IoT, and Data Center Operations platforms
- Drive ERP optimization, automation, and continuous improvement post-implementation to support EPC and hyperscale Data Center needs.
- Own delivery of large, multi-year, multi-vendor IT and digital transformation programs.
- Establish robust program governance, agile/hybrid delivery models, and benefit realization frameworks.
- Manage internal teams, system integrators, hyperscalers, OEMs, and niche Digital Twin, IoT, and AI partners.
- Ensure technical architecture scalability, performance, and cybersecurity by design.

Apply AI/ML, predictive analytics, and automation for:
- Project risk forecasting and schedule optimization
- Predictive and condition-based maintenance of Data Center and EPC assets
- Procurement, cost optimization, and vendor performance analytics
- Quality, safety, compliance, and sustainability monitoring
- Enable seamless integration of IoT, SCADA, BMS, and EMS data with core system.
- Drive the shift from descriptive reporting to predictive and prescriptive insights.

Provide strategic oversight for enterprise, project site, and Data Center
IT infrastructure, including:
- Hybrid and multi-cloud platforms
- High-availability networks for data centers and remote EPC sites
- OT systems, BMS, DCIM, CCTV, and surveillance platforms
- End-user computing, edge devices, and mobility
- Collaborate with Corporate IT on Digital, Cybersecurity architecture, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance.
Leadership & Delivery
- Work closely with the CIO to align digital initiatives with enterprise IT strategy and technology architecture.
- Proven ability to deliver complex enterprise IT and digital programs.
- Strong stakeholder engagement with CXO-level leaders.
- Commercial, vendor, and contract management skills.
- Structured program governance and risk management.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of EPC and Data Center project lifecycle, including design, construction, commissioning, and O&M.
- Knowledge of Data Center systems: power, cooling, BMS, DCIM, SCADA, and OT/IT convergence.
- SAP S/4HANA (Finance, MM, PS, PM, SD) and enterprise system integration.
- Digital & business automation platforms (RPA, BPM, Low-code/No-code).
- AI/ML, advanced analytics, IoT, edge computing, and cloud-native architectures.
Education
- BE / BTech in Engineering or Technology
- MBA or equivalent qualification preferred
Experience
- 12–15 years of experience in IT and digital transformation roles within EPC, Infrastructure, Data Center, Power, or Renewable Energy sectors.
- Hands-on Experience in SAP S/4HANA and enterprise application programs.
- Proven delivery of large-scale digital transformations across EPC and asset-intensive businesses.
- Demonstrated experience deploying Digital Twin, AI, IoT, mobility, and automation solutions in engineering, construction, or Data Center environments.
