Experience:
8–10 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, responsible
sourcing, traceability, or agricultural commodity sourcing, preferably in
cocoa, cashew, sesame, or other agri-commodity sectors.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Agriculture,
Sustainability, Business Administration, or related field.
Language Requirement:
Fluency in English and French is required
Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Manager – IVC will be responsible for implementing and
strengthening the company’s
Supply Chain Management System (SCMS)
in Ivory Coast, ensuring compliance with sustainability commitments, lender
Environmental & Social Action Plans (ESAPs), and responsible sourcing
requirements.
The role will lead
supply chain risk assessments, traceability systems, supplier
pre-assessments, deforestation risk mitigation, supplier capacity building,
and certification readiness
, while ensuring that the sourcing network aligns with the company’s
sustainability strategy and ESG commitments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain Risk Assessment & SCMS Implementation
-
Lead the implementation of the
Supply Chain Management System (SCMS)
across sourcing operations in Ivory Coast.

Conduct and regularly update
supply chain risk assessments
covering environmental, social, traceability, and operational risks.
-
Identify high-risk suppliers, sourcing regions, and supply chain gaps, and
develop mitigation and remediation plans.
-
Ensure the SCMS aligns with lender requirements, sustainability commitments,
and internal ESG frameworks.

Develop implementation timelines and monitor progress against SCMS action
plans.
2. Supplier Screening & Due Diligence
-
Establish and manage
supplier pre-assessment and onboarding procedures
for suppliers, cooperatives, aggregators, and buying agents.
-
Conduct supply chain due diligence to evaluate supplier compliance with
sustainability, legal, and ethical sourcing standards.
-
Ensure supplier screening processes address risks related to child labour,
deforestation, biodiversity, and labour standards.
-
Maintain supplier risk profiles and monitor supplier performance improvement
plans.
3. Traceability & Chain of Custody Management
-
Strengthen end-to-end
traceability systems
for sourced commodities from farm to warehouse.

Ensure chain of custody procedures are effectively implemented and monitored
across sourcing channels.

Collaborate with field teams and suppliers to improve origin verification
and sourcing transparency.
-
Support development of digital traceability tools and supplier mapping
systems.
4. Deforestation Risk Mitigation
-
Lead
deforestation risk assessments
across sourcing landscapes and identify high-risk sourcing zones.
-
Develop and implement procedures for monitoring deforestation alerts and
land-use risks.
-
Define and enforce
no-go / no-deforestation sourcing zones
within the sourcing network.

Work with suppliers and field teams to implement zero-deforestation sourcing
requirements.
-
Ensure sourcing practices are aligned with biodiversity protection and
responsible land-use commitments.
5. Supplier Capacity Building
-
Develop and implement supplier training programs on
responsible sourcing, traceability, supply chain compliance, and
sustainability standards
.
-
Build capacity of cooperatives, suppliers, and local buying agents to
improve compliance with SCMS requirements.
-
Strengthen supplier awareness on environmental and social risks including
child labour, deforestation, and responsible sourcing expectations.
-
Monitor supplier improvement performance and provide technical support where
required.
6. Certification & Compliance Readiness
-
Support preparation for
third-party certification audits
and supply chain sustainability audits.
-
Ensure sourcing operations meet certification requirements for traceability,
responsible sourcing, and compliance systems.
-
Coordinate with internal teams to close supply chain compliance gaps
identified through audits or assessments.
-
Maintain required documentation and evidence to demonstrate compliance with
supply chain sustainability standards.
7. Monitoring, Reporting & Data Management
-
Develop dashboards and reports on
supply chain risks, supplier compliance, traceability, and SCMS
performance
.

Track implementation of supply chain corrective actions and ensure timely
closure of identified gaps.

Provide periodic reports and updates to the
CSSO
on supply chain sustainability progress and challenges.
-
Maintain accurate documentation of risk assessments, supplier evaluations,
and remediation actions.
8. Cross-functional Coordination
-
Work closely with procurement, sustainability, operations, and field teams
to integrate SCMS requirements into sourcing processes.
-
Coordinate with sustainability teams to align supply chain systems with
ESG and ESAP commitments.
-
Support strategic sourcing decisions based on risk assessments and
sustainability performance.
-
Contribute to continuous improvement of supply chain governance frameworks.
