Role purpose
The Technical Lead – IT Infrastructure is responsible for the design,
implementation, administration, and support of the organization's core IT
infrastructure, including servers, virtualization, cloud platforms,
networking, Microsoft services, storage, backup, and cybersecurity
technologies. This is a hands-on technical role that ensures the
stability, security, and performance of IT infrastructure while mentoring
the infrastructure team and supporting enterprise projects with the help
of backend team
Key responsibilities
Infrastructure administration
-
Administer Windows and Linux server environments.
-
Manage VMware/Hyper-V virtualization infrastructure.
-
Configure and maintain storage (SAN/NAS) systems.
-
Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.
-
Ensure infrastructure availability and reliability.
Cloud administration
-
Support and manage cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, OCI).
-
Provision and monitor cloud resources.
-
Assist in cloud migration and hybrid cloud deployments.
-
Optimize cloud resource utilization and costs.
Microsoft Administration
-
Administer Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and ADFS.
-
Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), MFA, and Single Sign-On (SSO).
-
Support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams,
SharePoint, OneDrive, and Intune.
Network Infrastructure
-
Support LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, routers, switches, and internet
connectivity.

Troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues.
-
Implement and maintain network segmentation between IT and OT
environments.
-
Coordinate with ISPs and network vendors.
Information Security
-
Administer enterprise firewalls (Fortinet, Sophos, Cisco, Palo Alto).
-
Manage endpoint protection, EDR/XDR, email security, and VPN.
-
Remediation of identified Risk
-
Implement security hardening and patch management.
Back & recovery
-
Manage enterprise backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, Azure Backup,
etc.).
-
Monitor backup jobs and resolve failures.
-
Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
-
Ensure business continuity objectives are met.
Infrastructure monitoring
-
Configure and maintain infrastructure monitoring tools (PRTG,
SolarWinds, ManageEngine, Zabbix, etc.).
-
Monitor server, network, and storage health.
-
Generate reports on infrastructure performance and availability.
Project's implementation
-
Lead technical implementation of infrastructure projects, including:

Server and storage upgrades
-
Firewall replacements
-
Active Directory redesign
-
Network refresh
-
Wi-Fi modernization
-
Microsoft 365 migration
-
Cloud adoption
-
SAP infrastructure readiness
-
ITSM implementation
Incident & problem management
-
Act as the technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) along with backend team
-
Ensure timely resolution of critical incidents along with backend team
-
Participate in change management processes.
Documentation
-
Maintain infrastructure architecture diagrams.
-
Develop and update SOPs, technical documentation, and configuration
records.
-
Maintain asset inventory and configuration management database (CMDB).
Vendor management
-
Coordinate with OEMs, system integrators, and managed service providers
along with backend team
-
Review technical proposals and support procurement activities along with
backend team

Monitor vendor SLAs and project deliverables.
Team leadership
-
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to infrastructure engineers.
-
Review technical designs and implementation plans.
-
Promote best practices, automation, and continuous improvement.
