Qualification: Master’s Degree in Science (Chemistry), B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, or a related
discipline

Position Summary:
The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the batch manufacturing
processes for household liquid and cosmetic products. This role requires hands-on expertise in
production and quality control, with strong knowledge of batch processing, formulation, process
parameters, and product quality compliance. The incumbent will ensure consistent product quality,
operational efficiency, and adherence to safety and GMP standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor batch manufacturing operations and ensure adherence to approved
formulations and BMRs.
- Implement process control techniques to maintain consistency, yield, and product quality.
- Work with QC and R&D to troubleshoot batch issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Maintain compliance with GMP, ISO, and safety standards.
- Review in-process quality checks (viscosity, pH, & appearance).
- Optimize processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
- Train and guide supervisors, operators, and technicians.
- Participate in scale-up and validation of new formulations.
- Ensure proper documentation of production activities, deviations, and equipment cleaning.
- Coordinate with maintenance for equipment reliability.
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.
- Manage production planning, scheduling, and KPI reporting (Plan vs. Actual, SFG Yield, Downtime).
- Develop systems, SOPs, and documentation to comply with ISO 9001:2015 and GMP standards.

Skills and Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of batch making for Liquid detergents, shampoos, creams, and lotions.
- Proficiency in process control and troubleshooting batch inconsistencies.
- Familiarity with cosmetics manufacturing standards (ISO 22716) and personal care formulations.
- Exposure to both Production and Quality Control functions.
- Analytical mindset with strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
