AVP – Business Development (Hunting & Farming)
Job Summary:
The AVP – Business Development is a pivotal role at Canara HSBC Life
Insurance, responsible for driving acquisition strategies to establish strong
partnerships with Private Banks, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), and
Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs). This position significantly impacts
our growth trajectory by identifying new business opportunities and nurturing
client relationships to enhance revenue streams.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies targeting
Private Banks, PSUs, and NBFCs to achieve sales goals.

Identify and evaluate potential partners, conducting market research and
competitor analysis to inform proactive outreach.

Foster and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within
partner organizations to enhance collaboration and ensure mutual growth.

Lead negotiations and finalize partnership agreements, working closely with
legal and compliance teams to ensure alignment with company policies.

Monitor and report on business development activities, providing insights
and recommendations to senior management.

Collaborate with marketing and product teams to craft tailored solutions
that meet the specific needs of partners and their clients.

Mentor junior team members and support their professional development within
the business development function.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a
related field; MBA preferred.

8+ years of experience in business development or sales roles within the
insurance or financial services industry.

Proven track record of acquiring and managing strategic partnerships with
Private Banks, PSUs, and NBFCs.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends and
opportunities.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present
complex information clearly.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in managing a
high-performing team.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with CRM tools for managing
business relationships.
