The position in discussion is with the Deal Advisory & Strategy team at KGS, which is KPMG’s global delivery center and an integral part of the firm’s strategy to enhance innovation, build scalability, and improve profitability globally. KGS’ Deal Advisory & Strategy group is a team of over 900 professionals based in Gurgaon, Mumbai, and Bangalore. KGS DA&S has been providing solutions to KPMG member firms globally. By leveraging insights and applying best practices, the team helps create customized approaches to M&A transactions. The team’s capabilities include:

We are recruiting for a Manager/AD in the Financial Due Diligence team. Working as a Manager/AD in this team, your responsibilities will include:
Prepare and review transaction Databook/Workbook in accordance with the firm’s professional standards and as per the requirements of the projects, with almost no rework and review comments.
Identification of key issues and carrying out the relevant financial analysis.
To lead smaller assignments from KGS and/ or assist in larger assignments reporting to Director/ PMD, with their limited supervision.
Active and consistent participation as a Deal team member with high proficiency including usage and training of junior team members.
Prepare, update, and review initial/supplemental document request list and manage gathered data effectively.
Ability to prepare industry-specific and other ad hoc analyses.
Preparation of the proposal and scope of work as required by the engagement team(s).
Prepare Management discussion decks.
Participate and lead specific sections in management calls and take notes in management meetings.
Ability to independently draft sections of the FDD Report such as the Background, Points of Interest(basic), Quality of Earnings (proficiency in basic and moderate complexity adjustments, beginning to quantify complex adjustments), Summary Financials and Exhibit.
Ability to do set up of Debt/Debt like and Net Working Capital analysis with high proficiency and calculate basic to moderate complexity adjustments.
Proficiency in technology tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, etc.
Qualifications: CA / MBA Qualified
Relevant experience from Big 4 or equivalent Transaction Advisory Services practice.
Qualification - CA/MBA finance.
Approximately 8-12 years of related financial due diligence work experience on buy-side and sell-side transactions.
Team management/People experience.
Mandatory technical & functional skills
Strong analytical, issue identification/prioritization/ resolution and report writing skills, including understanding of key TS concepts relating to Adjusted/Quality of Earnings, Adjusted Net Working Capital and Adjusted Net Debt amongst other TS analysis.
Team management/People experience.
Understanding of financial statements, financial ratio analysis, U.S. GAAP accounting standards, financial concepts, etc.
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, and advanced formulas), Word and PowerPoint skills.
Proficiency in technology tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, etc.
