Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our US Financial Services Tax team, supporting securitization and structured finance engagements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in capital markets, structured finance, or securitization and possess strong analytical skills to support complex financial products and tax engagements.
The role involves analyzing structured financial products, performing tax research, interpreting large transaction datasets, identifying process improvements, and preparing high-quality client deliverables while collaborating with global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support US securitization tax engagements involving Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLO), Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS), Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS), Commercial Real Estate CLOs (CRE CLOs), Credit Funds, and other structured finance products.
- Analyze structured finance transactions using third-party tools such as Intex, Markit, and other financial platforms to evaluate cash flows, present values, and accounting/tax implications.
- Conduct research on US Federal and selected international income tax regulations related to debt instruments, income recognition, accounting methods, stated interest, original issue discount (OID), market discount, premium, and structured financial products.
- Analyze large and complex financial datasets from multiple data sources to support client engagements and identify business insights.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives using Python, Alteryx, and Advanced Excel wherever applicable.
- Prepare technical documentation, client deliverables, working papers, and supporting analyses in accordance with quality standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions within agreed timelines.
Required Qualifications
- CA / CFA / FRM / MBA (Finance or Investment Management)

Mandatory Skills
- Strong understanding of securitization and structured finance markets.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards governing structured financial products.
- Experience analyzing structured finance transactions and cash flows.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling.
- Experience with Intex.
- Exposure to Bloomberg and Markit platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Alteryx and/or Python.
- Knowledge of structured debt products and US Financial Services Tax.
