Job Description: Compensation Partner – E4/D1
Education: MBA/PGDM from Tier‑1/Tier‑2 institute
Industry Preference: Exposure to leading banks, financial institutions, or reputed corporates

Role Overview
The Compensation Partner – E4/D1 will support the bank’s compensation processes, benchmarking, governance, and analytics. The role works closely with HRBPs, Business HR, TA, and Finance to ensure competitive, equitable, and policy‑compliant compensation practices across functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Compensation Planning & Execution
- Support annual increments, promotions, and bonus cycles.
- Prepare cost sheets, payout calculations, and scenario modelling.
- Ensure accuracy and governance in compensation proposals.
- Benchmarking & Market Analysis
- Participate in industry compensation surveys (Aon/Mercer/WTW).
- Benchmark roles across functions and support pay positioning exercises.
- Provide insights on talent market trends for niche roles.
- Job Evaluation & Fitment
- Support job evaluation and grading consistency using defined frameworks.
- Partner with TA for salary fitments of new hires and internal movements.
- Analytics & Reporting
- Build dashboards on parity, pay ranges, and compensation cost analytics.
- Prepare MIS for leadership reviews, HR councils, and audit committees.
- Conduct internal equity checks and highlight anomalies.
- Governance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to compensation policies and audit requirements.
- Maintain documentation for internal audit and compliance reviews.
- Strengthen controls around approvals, exceptions, and workflow accuracy.
- Stakeholder Partnership
- Collaborate with HRBPs, Business HR, TA, Finance, and Payroll teams.
- Address compensation-related queries from stakeholders and employees.
- Provide advisory support on salary decisions and role movements.
- HRMS & Process Efficiency
- Work on compensation modules in HRMS (Workday/SAP/Darwinbox).
- Ensure data accuracy and support enhancements in systems and processes.
- Drive automation and standardization of reports and templates.
Candidate Profile
- 8+ years total HR experience with minimum 3 years in core C&B.
- MBA/PGDM from Tier‑1/Tier‑2 institute; strong academic and corporate pedigree preferred.
- Solid understanding of compensation structures, benchmarking, and analytics.
- Strong Excel, analytical skills, and comfort with data-heavy work.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and strict timelines.
- High attention to detail, governance mindset, and confidentiality orientation.
