Analyst: Life Sciences - Investment Research

Job Summary & Business Unit Overview

We are seeking an initiative-taking Analyst to join our Investment Research team, as an integral part of our team, you will gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of healthcare

investments and play a pivotal role in supporting the stakeholders across scientific due diligence, portfolio

monitoring, and market data analysis. 

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze clinical trial protocols, late-stage data readouts, regulatory FDA/EMA guidance

documents, and scientific literature.

• Systematically map therapeutic categories, track public clinical registries (like ClinicalTrials.gov) and

flag mid-to-large cap pharma assets.

• Review ongoing clinical milestones, corporate partner compliance, and financial covenants for active

fund deployments.

• Model financing structures, including pre- and post-approval royalties, synthetic royalties, milestone

payments, and debt.

• Undertake multiple ad hoc projects as requested. Respond to ad-hoc requests from the analysts and

provide relevant information as needed.

• Assist Client Services, Legal & Compliance and Operations teams regarding client focused initiatives.

• Assist with automation projects and build interactive dashboards for asset monitoring.

Skills Required:

• Post-graduate degree in Life Sciences (e.g., Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Molecular

Biology, or Biochemistry).

• Experience within healthcare investment banking, biotech equity research or life sciences consulting is

a plus.

• The baseline ability to read a clinical trial data abstract or a Kaplan-Meier survival curve.

• Working knowledge of competitive intelligence sources like Informa, Evaluate, GlobalData.

• Working knowledge of visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau or Sigma.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools ( MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word ).

• Strong analytical skills and ability to summarize complex information efficiently.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills & people skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a demanding environment, often under pressure and with

multiple stakeholders.

• Meticulous with a commitment to accuracy and precision.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while demonstrating high sense of ownership and

accountability
