Role Overview

Opportunity to join a growing Finance team within an international alternative investments group supporting Luxembourg investment and financing structures. The Senior Analyst will have 4–6 years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on accounting, financial statement preparation and review, complex reconciliations, and quality control. The role requires a solid accounting background and the ability to review and challenge work prepared by junior team members. The successful candidate will progressively play an important role in strengthening the Finance COE and increasing the team's ability to operate independently, while working closely with the Luxembourg team.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Statements

• Prepare and review accounting entries, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules for investment and financing entities.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and/or review annual financial statements and related supporting documentation.
• Investigate and resolve complex accounting and reconciliation differences.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of accounting records and supporting documentation.

Investment & Financing Structures

• Account for and reconcile intercompany and financing transactions, including interest accruals, repayments and other financing-related activities.
• Support the accounting of investment structures and financing instruments.
• Experience with Luxembourg entities and/or private debt, credit or alternative investment structures is highly desirable.
• Exposure to intercompany loans, shareholder loans or similar internal financing instruments would be a strong advantage.

Review & Quality Control

• Review accounting work and reconciliations prepared by junior team members.
• Identify errors, inconsistencies and control gaps and ensure appropriate resolution.
• Support more complex accounting matters and provide guidance where required.
• Maintain a strong focus on accounting quality, accuracy and timely delivery.

Coordination

• Work collaboratively with the Luxembourg team and proactively raise questions or issues requiring judgement.
• Manage dependencies and follow up on open accounting matters with relevant stakeholders.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with onshore teams.

Team Support & Ownership

• Act as a senior point of contact within the India Finance team for accounting-related questions.
• Coach and support junior team members to strengthen their accounting knowledge and review capabilities.
• Help improve team organisation, documentation and processes as the Finance COE continues to grow.
• Demonstrate a hands-on and collaborative approach, including willingness to support the team during complex reconciliations or closing periods.

Candidate Profile & Skills

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within fund administration, alternative investments, financial services, audit or a similar environment.
• Strong accounting knowledge and practical experience with financial statement preparation and/or review.
• Previous exposure to Luxembourg entities (LuxCos) is highly desirable.
• Experience within private debt / credit / alternative investments is a strong advantage.
• Exposure to intercompany financing instruments is highly desirable.

Core Skills

• Strong experience with balance sheet reconciliations, closing activities and investigation of accounting differences.
• Experience reviewing work prepared by junior colleagues is expected.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with accounting systems and large financial datasets.
• Strong analytical, organizational, prioritization and time management skills.
