Test Engineer

Job Summary:

As a Test Engineer at our innovative HR tech startup, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust testing strategies that enhance user experience and support our mission of transforming HR technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various applications.
Identify, report, and track defects, ensuring resolution in a timely manner.
Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on product functionality.
Automate testing processes to improve efficiency and coverage using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
Conduct performance and regression testing to validate application robustness under various conditions.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall quality of the development process.
Stay updated on emerging testing tools and methodologies to enhance the testing strategy continuously.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Test Engineer or in a similar role, preferably within a startup environment.
Strong proficiency in software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools, including Jira or similar.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, enabling seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript for automation purposes.
Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Familiarity with user experience (UX) testing principles and practices.
Previous experience in HR technology or related fields is a plus.
