Automation Tester - Java and Rest Assured

Job Summary:

We are seeking an innovative Automation Tester with expertise in Rest Assured and Core Java to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing our software quality through automated testing, ensuring reliable and high-performance applications that delight our users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Rest Assured for web services and APIs.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand application requirements and design effective test strategies.
• Execute regression, integration, and performance testing to identify bugs and verify fixes.
• Analyze test results and provide clear, detailed reports to stakeholders, including recommendations for improvements.
• Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and frameworks to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to team efforts to ensure a quality-first approach throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Mentor junior testers and promote best practices in automated testing within the team.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Automation Tester or similar role with a focus on testing web applications.
• Strong proficiency in Core Java and familiar with object-oriented programming principles.
• Hands-on experience using Rest Assured for API testing.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with a passion for quality assurance.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies would be advantageous.
