Role purpose
This role is for the Fund Accounting Team which includes functions like Fund Accounting, Pricing, NAV Calculations, and Daily, Weekly, Monthly reporting. The incumbent needs to understand the laws of the region supported and perform day-to-day work in accordance with procedure set for an activity. The role requires working in rotational shifts with a start time of 11:00 AM.
Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities
Strategic Focus

Operational Management
Ensure all internal and external service levels and regulatory deadlines are met within the Fund Accounting team.
Ensure all task procedures are followed for accurate Fund NAV calculation, accrual of income and expenses, various reporting like income statement, P&L, balance sheet, etc., and fund pricing where the team has capability.
Ongoing maintenance of procedures reflecting updates from internal policy or regulation changes.
Support and review business process and system changes, ensuring business accuracy around all documentation and impacts to service delivery.
Develop and maintain relationships with Waystone Fund Solutions internal teams (e.g., Investment Compliance, Investment Risk, Client Services, IT, Oversight, Finance, Compliance, Product and Change Delivery).
Support the continued creation of the “hub and spoke” operating model, ensuring offshore hub is established with appropriate controls.
Respond to enquiries promptly, proactively handling issues, and striving for the highest levels of customer service.
Accurately review and complete various operational tasks in a timely manner including review of data updates, Fund Accounting activities, and Pricing activities.
Review transaction processing, asset set-up, and maintenance.
Maintain department procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements, SLAs, best practices, and company policies.
Provide a contact point and/or assistance with queries from Clients, IMDs, Depositories, and key contacts.
Identify instances of non-compliance and refer to the Team Leader, Operations Manager, UK Senior Managers, and the Compliance Department, and resolve them.
Create and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and assist other areas of the business as required.
Maintain an awareness and understanding of the investment industry.
Provide information to Clients, IMDs, Depositories, etc., on request and resolve complaints and problems on their behalf.
Maintain departmental Risk Register and assist the Team Leader and Operations Manager with regular reviews and Compliance Visits.
Liaise with the Team Leader and Operations Managers to bring about positive change within the Department.
Ensure emerging risks are identified, assessed, and captured within the departmental risk register with appropriate escalation to senior management.
Carry out operational controls in accordance with business policies and procedures.
Proactively identify areas for control improvement.

Experience & Personal Attributes
Essential
Knowledge of UK fund legislation, Fund Administration, and the regulatory environment.
Previous experience overseeing assets in Fund structures, e.g., NAV calculation, income and expenses, asset pricing, fair value pricing, and market oversight.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Excellent analytical skills with a focus on investment/market data.
Ability to work to strict deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Proven ability to operate independently and take the initiative.
