Automation Engineer - Rest Assured & Core Java

Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Automation Engineer with expertise in Rest Assured and Core Java to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in enhancing our testing processes and elevating the quality of our software products, ensuring seamless user experiences for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement automated test scripts using Rest Assured to validate API functionality and performance.
• Develop and maintain test frameworks using Core Java to streamline the testing process and improve test coverage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure that quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Execute regression testing, report bugs, and track them through resolution using established issue tracking tools.
• Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to junior team members on best practices in automation testing.
• Continuously evaluate existing testing processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay current with industry trends in automation testing and tools, providing recommendations for adoption where beneficial.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in automation testing, specifically using Rest Assured and Core Java.
• Strong understanding of API testing methodologies and tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proficient in version control systems such as Git.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with additional programming languages, such as Python or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with testing tools such as JUnit, TestNG, or Selenium.
• Knowledge of containerization technology, such as Docker.
• Previous experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
