Senior Analyst – Legal Documentation & Deal Tracking
Position Overview
The Senior Analyst – Legal Documentation & Deal Tracking will support
global Legal teams by managing the tracking, coordination, and
documentation of legal agreements, deal terms, and transaction‑related
materials. This role is designed for a lawyer with 3-5 years of
experience, who brings strong organizational skills, attention to detail,
and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders and
outside counsel.
The Senior Analyst will be responsible for maintaining deal trackers,
obtaining and organizing transaction documents, and preparing periodic
reporting to support legal oversight, business unit needs, and internal
compliance requirements.
Primary Responsibilities

Coordinate with outside counsel and internal teams to obtain, review,
and organize key legal documents, including signing sets, closing sets,
diligence memoranda, and post‑closing materials, ensuring completeness
and accuracy.

Maintain and update deal trackers, fund trackers, and term inventories
to reflect current transactions and fund activity.

Manage document repositories by organizing, maintaining, and controlling
records to ensure secure storage, version control, and efficient
retrieval.

Prepare and distribute periodic reports to legal and business
stakeholders, and respond to ad hoc requests for deal term summaries and
transaction documentation.

Monitor deal pipelines, signing/closing activity, and relevant
compliance tracking systems.

Ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness across all tracking,
documentation, and reporting activities; escalate issues or missing
information as needed.

Support process improvements and documentation standards to enhance
efficiency and scalability.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of requests in tracking
spreadsheets, ensuring data integrity and readiness for audits and
reporting.

Review and analyze datasets to identify discrepancies, trends, and
anomalies in support of reconciliation efforts.

Review and evaluate policies and procedures to confirm alignment with
applicable regulations and internal governance standards.

Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures and other process
documentation to standardize workflows and improve efficiency.
Qualifications

Law degree (e.g., LLB) preferred; strong candidates with substantial
transaction documentation/deal ops experience will be considered.

3-5 years’ experience supporting corporate/PE/transactional matters (law
firm, in-house, or legal operations/COE).

Strong understanding of transactional legal documents, including
purchase agreements, diligence materials, and closing documentation.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to
manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to
coordinate effectively with outside counsel and internal stakeholders.

Proficiency with document management systems (e.g., Box, SharePoint) and
deal tracking tools (e.g., DealCloud).

Strong proficiency in the MS Office Suite, with advanced skills in MS
Excel.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting private equity, corporate, or transactional legal
teams.

Familiarity with diligence processes, transaction timelines, and deal
documentation standards.
