Sr. AI Developer Engineer – Lead/Backend/Cloud

Job Summary:

The Sr. AI Developer Engineer – Lead/Backend/Cloud is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the engineering and operational delivery of the internal SecureAI platform, alongside shared backend services and multi-cloud infrastructure. This role directs the AI security engineering team, providing architectural guidance and hands-on development to ensure secure, scalable, and production-grade AI services for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the technical lead for Application Security, delivering architecture guidance and establishing engineering standards across verticals.
Lead sprint planning and delivery management, ensuring timely and high-quality release of platform features and AI security capabilities.
Conduct structured code reviews, mentor junior developers, and foster a culture of engineering excellence through comprehensive documentation and CI/CD discipline.
Define and maintain the technical roadmap for the SecureAI platform in alignment with business priorities, ensuring strategic alignment with the CISO office.
Act as the primary liaison between the AI security engineering team and cloud platform teams, facilitating smooth collaboration.
Own the architecture and evolution of the internal SecureAI platform, integrating AI-powered security capabilities for diverse internal users.
Design and implement secure cloud architecture patterns across multi-cloud environments, enforcing best practices and security measures.

Requirements:

6–8 years of software engineering experience with a minimum of 1 year in building AI/ML systems and expertise in backend platform development.
Deep proficiency in Python for backend and AI/ML development; working knowledge of Java or Go is a plus.
Proven experience managing multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP, AWS), with hands-on expertise in key platform services.
Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain and Semantic Kernel.
Strong backend platform engineering skills, including microservices architecture and API gateway integration.
Proficiency in Kubernetes and container security, along with familiarity with CSPM tools for maintaining cloud security posture.
Demonstrated technical leadership capabilities, including mentoring, cross-functional stakeholder engagement, and architecture decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications:

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure AI Engineer Associate certifications.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification.
Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CEH, or SC-200 (Microsoft Security Operations Analyst).
Experience building internal developer platforms or security portals at enterprise scale.
Familiarity with SIEM/SOAR platforms and their integration APIs.
