Purpose :

To plan, lead and control the accounts function of the unit and ensure timely, analysis and circulation of monthly financial MIS, Annual budgets, timely closure of books of accounts by ensuring compliance to all the statutory and legal requirements.

Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities :

1	Budgeting
Organizing the inputs for the preparing the budget Participating in Annual Planning Cycle with Unit Leadership Team Ensure & review of data input in PBCS Preparing budget document Participating in Reviewing with ULT and finalization of Budget Submission to B-Accounts for consolidation. Budgeted Profit & loss accounts, working capital. Variance Analysis
2	Insurance
Review and check whether all policies are up to date. (GMP, GPA) and Insurance claim documentation, accounting and monitoring. Have a updated Insurance schedule and review on monthly basis.
3	Accounts Payable
SSC related matters: Hold cases, Advance to suppliers( Revenue & capital ), Receiving, Balance with Customs, Foreign payment processing etc. Monthly review on all the points
4	Key Financial Reporting
Analysis & review of variance against budget & previous period Variable cost in terms of Usages, Mix & Rate variance. Fixed cost variance NPA Inventory reporting
5	Liaising with Government Agencies
Unit GST Input Credit on Purchases - No reversal Coordination with the Unit and Central Compliance Team on Government Notice info- GST/Custom/Excise. Advance Licence Tracking and Closure with MLTs– M/T/V EPCG Documentation and Control- M/T/V TN Subsidy documentation tracking with Plant. Documentation Management - Timely review and management of the Financial documents.
6	Finalization of Monthly Trial Balance
Review & Ensuring of the month end entries/ provisions, posted in GL & SL so to confirm accuracy of Trial Balance. Ensuring Timely Closure Physical Vs. Oracle Inventory Control(to have better control)
7	COC(Cost of Conversion)
Review & ensuring the COC Report Monthly with Variance with reasons and making recommendation for optimize the Cost to Unit Head and plant team.
8	Capex management and control
Take steps for Initiation of capex’s as per plan in the Budget. Follow up for capex completions. Reviewing ROI capex’s against actuals.
9	Internal audit, Statutory Audit and CSA closure
Initiate closure of internal audit points with departments. Escalating delays wherever required in closure. Deploy Control points to persons handling the responsibility. Review/Follow-up and close action items on failed control points if any.
10	Ensure Delivery of monthly WCR. (Working Capital Report)
Analysis of variances in the WCR with the inputs received from department Heads. Reviewing the inputs received with the internal team. Finalization of WCR based on above inputs.
11	Cash & Bank
Ensure proper accounting and closing of cash transactions. AR LC Tracking and ensuring no delayed payment. Coordination with bank LC/BG.
12	Product Wise costing through the Oracle R12 OPM Module
Review & Ensuring the OPM Closure & accuracy of the Product Costing.
