ABOUT THE ROLE
A Flight Architect at tiket.com is a senior technical role responsible for designing, scaling, and maintaining the
backend and system infrastructure that powers the platform's flight booking engine. Sitting within the Technology
Transportation division, this role focuses on making flight searches, availability, pricing, and ticketing seamless for
millions of users worldwide.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
System Design & Architecture
Design highly available microservices that integrate with multiple Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and airline
APIs. Ensure that heavy-traffic events—such as flash sales and holiday rushes—are handled smoothly without
degradation in service quality.
Performance Optimization
Reduce API latency, modernise legacy systems, and improve overall system response times for users searching
for flights globally. Drive continuous improvement through profiling, benchmarking, and iterative optimisation
strategies.
Inventory & Booking Consistency
Ensure data consistency across search queries, seat allocation, and payment gateways. Architect fail-safes to
prevent overbooking and handle transaction timeouts gracefully, safeguarding both user experience and business
integrity.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product Managers, Data Architects, and Frontend Engineers to translate business needs into
robust technical architectures. Serve as the technical bridge between stakeholders and engineering teams.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
15 to 25 years of relevant experience in backend systems, distributed architecture, and large-scale platform
