Fixxly is a stealth-mode venture being built by second-time founders with a proven track record of building and scaling category-defining businesses. Their previous venture disrupted a highly unorganised $20B market, scaling to approximately $90M+ in annual revenue, raising over $80M from marquee global investors, and ultimately leading to a landmark $360M acquisition last year. The acquiring company is currently on an active IPO trajectory. Having successfully navigated the complete journey from zero-to-scale and scale-to-exit, the founders are now building their second company with deeper market insight, stronger networks, and the operational experience to move significantly faster. Currently operating in stealth mode, Fixxly is in the process of hiring a small number of high-impact founding team members who will play a critical role in shaping the business from its earliest stages.

We are building a technology-driven platform focused on transforming the building materials and construction supply ecosystem. Our mission is to simplify product discovery, improve catalogue accuracy, and create a seamless procurement experience for contractors, applicators, retailers, and B2B customers. By combining strong category expertise with digital commerce capabilities, we aim to make construction materials more accessible, searchable, and reliable through a highly organised and scalable platform.

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and execution-focused Category Manager to manage and enhance product categories across our platform. The role requires strong category management skills, a founder's mindset, and an understanding of how assortment and pricing impact customer experience and business margins. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in commercial procurement, vendor onboarding, or supply chain operations, preferably within building materials, industrial products, or B2B commerce platforms.

• Assortment & Range Building – Managing complete product categories on the platform, including identifying hero SKUs, mapping items by job type, and pruning dead stock to ensure an optimized and standardized category structure.
• Vendor Development & Procurement – Handling vendor onboarding and commercial relationships by securing multiple suppliers, negotiating credit terms, and ensuring local agility to meet platform supply standards.
• Inventory & Availability Management – Improving product availability on the platform by maintaining strict in-stock targets, setting reorder points, and optimizing warehouse slotting based on customer velocity.
• Pricing & Margin Management – Regularly updating commercial information such as competitive pricing matrices, bundling strategies, and targeted promotions while conducting periodic audits to maintain margin accuracy.
• Performance & Demand Analytics – Supporting procurement campaigns and sales forecasting activities by tracking vendor OTIF metrics, analyzing quick-commerce order patterns, and building weekly demand plans as per business requirements.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

Preferred Background

• 4–8 Years of Experience
• Experience in category management, commercial procurement, or B2B trade operations
• Exposure to building materials, industrial products, home improvement, or B2B commerce platforms is highly preferred
• Familiarity with inventory tools, supply chain systems, or similar startup backend infrastructure
• Understanding of quick-commerce dynamics, data spreadsheets, and demand forecasting logic

Educational Qualification

• Graduation in any discipline; an MBA is preferred
• Certifications or short courses in:
  • Civil Engineering
  • B.Arch (Architecture)
  • Supply Chain / Logistics are an added advantage
