Item Master / MDM Executive – Job Description
Fixxly is a stealth-mode venture being built by second-time founders with a
proven
track record of building and scaling category-defining businesses. Their
previous
venture disrupted a highly unorganised $20B market, scaling to approximately
$90M+
in annual revenue, raising over $80M from marquee global investors, and
ultimately
leading to a landmark $360M acquisition last year. The acquiring company is
currently
on an active IPO trajectory. Having successfully navigated the complete
journey from
zero-to-scale and scale-to-exit, the founders are now building their second
company
with deeper market insight, stronger networks, and the operational experience
to move
significantly faster. Currently operating in stealth mode, Fixxly is in the
process of hiring
a small number of high-impact founding team members who will play a critical
role in
shaping the business from its earliest stages.
We are building a technology-driven platform focused on transforming the
building
materials and construction supply ecosystem. Our mission is to simplify
product
discovery, improve catalogue accuracy, and create a seamless procurement
experience
for contractors, applicators, retailers, and B2B customers. By combining
strong category
expertise with digital commerce capabilities, we aim to make construction
materials
more accessible, searchable, and reliable through a highly organised and
scalable
platform.
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and execution-focused Item Master / MDM
Executive to manage and enhance product listings across our platform. The role
requires strong master data management skills, a technical mindset, and an
understanding of how product data accuracy impacts backend operations and
inventory
consistency. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in data
administration,
back-end cataloguing, or master data governance, preferably within building
materials,
industrial products, or B2B commerce platforms.
SKU Creation & Onboarding – Managing complete product entries on the
platform, including identifying mandatory data fields, executing
standardization
checklists, and configuring new SKUs within SLA parameters to ensure an
optimized and standardized data structure.
Data Hygiene & Audit – Handling routine integrity checks and
database health
by running weekly audits, enforcing absolute consistency across Units of
Measure, and ensuring a zero-tolerance policy for incomplete or duplicated
records.
Master Data Governance – Improving data reliability on the platform by
maintaining strict single source of truth rules, implementing formal request
forms, and deactivating discontinued data to preserve audit histories.
Cross-Functional Coordination – Regularly updating internal stakeholders on
commercial variations such as replenishment reorder points, app listing
matching, and vendor spec mismatches while conducting periodic syncs to
maintain repository accuracy.
Compliance & Finance Support – Supporting taxation workflows and
financial
reconciliation activities by tracking accurate HSN codes, generating clean
itemized tax data, and verifying physical pricing benchmarks as per business
requirements.
