CIVIL Head - SAEL

Job Title:   Head – Civil

Location:  Delhi

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Civil Head with a strong background in structural design and large-scale construction execution of manufacturing plants / factories, particularly in power, solar, wind, or thermal sectors. The role requires end-to-end ownership from design to on-site execution, ensuring quality, timelines, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Structural Design & Engineering

• Lead structural design, review, and validation for industrial and plant infrastructure
• Ensure compliance with national/international design codes and safety standards
• Coordinate with consultants for detailed engineering, drawings, and BOQs

2. Project Execution (On-Site Leadership)

• Drive end-to-end civil construction execution for large-scale manufacturing or energy projects
• Oversee site activities, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards

3. EPC & Greenfield Project Management

• Lead greenfield project development, from land development to commissioning
• Manage EPC contractors, monitor progress, and resolve on-ground challenges
• Ensure milestone tracking, resource planning, and cost optimization

4. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Interface with internal stakeholders, consultants, vendors, and government authorities
• Drive contract negotiations, vendor selection, and performance management

5. Cost, Budget & P&L Control

• Own project budgets, cost control, and financial planning
• Drive margin improvement and cost optimization initiatives
• Monitor project profitability and ensure adherence to financial targets

6. Team Leadership

• Build and lead high-performing site and engineering teams
• Drive performance management, capability building, and execution excellence

Key Requirements:

• Education: B.Tech / M.Tech in Civil Engineering
• Experience: 15–25 years in industrial / manufacturing / power / energy projects
• Proven experience in structural design + on-site execution of large-scale plants
• Strong exposure to EPC, greenfield projects, and heavy civil construction
• Experience managing large teams and multi-crore project budgets
• Hands-on experience working at project sites and driving execution end-to-end

Preferred Background:

• Experience in solar plants, thermal plants, wind energy, or heavy manufacturing facilities
• Exposure to steel, cement, refinery, or large industrial infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of project planning tools, contracts, and compliance
