Assistant Manager - Accounts (Accounts Payable and Costing)
Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager - Accounts will play a crucial role in overseeing the
accounts payable function and cost management within our organization. This
position ensures accurate and timely processing of vendor payments, while also
analyzing costs to support financial decision-making and enhance operational
efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the accounts payable process, ensuring compliance with
company policies and deadlines.

Review and approve invoices, ensuring accuracy of data and adherence to
budget guidelines.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor and report on cost
variances and support budget forecasting.

Conduct regular audits of accounts payable transactions to identify
discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

Assist in preparing financial reports related to accounts payable and cost
analysis for management review.

Lead month-end and year-end closing processes in relation to accounts
payable and costing activities.

Train and mentor junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture
within the accounts department.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or
equivalent certification is a plus.

Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in accounts payable and cost accounting
roles.

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS
Office Suite, especially Excel.

Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy in
financial reporting.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple
priorities effectively.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interaction
with vendors and internal teams.
