Job Description

Job Title:	Production Engineer
Job Summary:	Part of Production and Assembly & Testing Team responsible for the assembly of electronic analytical instruments as per the set assembly processes and procedures. Test and calibrate assembled instruments as per customer applications, record and release for dispatch.
Reports to:	Production and Quality Manager
Location:	Pune
Qualifications:	ITI, Diploma in Electronics / B.Sc Electronics. Experience of production / assembly in an electronics industry is desirable.
Experience:	Fresher or Experience of 1 - 2 years.
Attributes:	Basic knowledge of electronic components and assembly processes. Engineering aptitude, high attention to detail, ability to optimize production processes for maximum efficiency are necessary skills for this role. Good communication skills, team player, high ethical principles, computer literate. Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance, sufficiently mobile and flexible. Keen for new experience, responsibility, accountability, able to get on with others and be a team player.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Ensure assembly, testing, calibration and release of assembled instruments as per set assembly targets and timelines.
2. Follow production engineering processes on daily basis to produce high quality products.
3. Develop process improvements to effectively utilize equipment and materials to maximize production.
4. Identify unsafe operations and practices and report the same to Manager immediately.
5. Perform engineering analysis to reduce downtime and outages.
6. Evaluate current production activities and make recommendations for improvements.
7. Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standards.
8. Stay current with product specifications, engineering technology and production processes.
9. Develop best practices to improve production capacity, quality and reliability.
10. Investigate problems, analyze root causes and derive resolutions.
11. Assess and analyze current production methods.
12. Develop and draft an improved production process.
13. Design and implement cost-reductive changes.
14. Follow product specifications and quality control measures.
15. Determine which tools, equipment, etc. will be used and where they will be stationed in the facility.
16. Increase speed and efficiency of processes without compromising quality.
17. Implement quality control measures that effectively monitor products and guarantee desired results.
18. Ensure all steps of production are followed smoothly and efficiently.
19. Learn proper methods and follow set instructions of assembly line.
20. Diagnose origin of breakdowns, including human error, and troubleshoot problems.
21. Work within set target plans for the project.
22. Communicate with Production Manager / Quality Manager to obtain materials and/or equipment needed.

Salary:

3.0 to 4.0 lakhs plus incentives
