Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Costing Manager from a manufacturing background to lead product costing, pricing, profitability analysis, and cost control functions at our Virar – Khaniwade plant. The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to handling a large product portfolio with more than 700 SKUs and possess expertise in manufacturing cost structures, variance analysis, budgeting, and profitability management.
The candidate should be capable of driving cost optimization initiatives, supporting strategic pricing decisions, and working closely with production, procurement, finance, and sales teams to improve overall business profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling end-to-end product costing activities for a large SKU portfolio (700+ SKUs).
- Preparing and maintaining accurate BOM-based costing and standard costing for products.
- Managing product pricing analysis and supporting management in pricing strategy decisions.
- Conducting detailed profitability analysis across products, categories, and business segments.
- Performing variance analysis related to material cost, labour cost, overheads, production, and inventory.
- Monitoring manufacturing costs and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Coordinating with production and procurement teams to analyse raw material consumption and cost impact.
- Preparing monthly MIS reports related to costing, margins, and plant profitability.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities related to manufacturing operations.
- Ensuring accuracy in inventory valuation, stock reconciliation, and cost allocation processes.
- Developing and implementing cost control systems and internal controls.
- Assisting management in decision-making through financial and commercial analysis.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams for new product costing and commercial feasibility analysis.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements, and company policies.
Candidate Profile
- 12–14 years of experience in costing and finance functions within a manufacturing company.
- Strong exposure to handling high SKU volumes (700+ SKUs).
- Hands-on experience in product costing, product pricing, profitability analysis, and variance analysis.
- Good understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory management, and cost structures.
- Experience in standard costing, BOM analysis, and plant finance activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and drive cost optimization initiatives.
- CMA / ICWA or equivalent qualification preferred.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Costing Executive from a manufacturing background to support product costing, pricing analysis, profitability tracking, and cost control activities at our Virar – Khaniwade plant. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in product costing, inventory analysis, variance analysis, and handling a large number of SKUs within a manufacturing setup.
The candidate should be capable of working closely with production, procurement, stores, finance, and sales teams to ensure accurate costing and support business profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling day-to-day product costing activities for multiple SKUs.
- Preparing and maintaining BOM-based costing and standard costing records.
- Assisting in product pricing calculations and pricing analysis.
- Performing variance analysis related to raw materials, labour, overheads, and production costs.
- Monitoring manufacturing expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Supporting profitability analysis for products and business segments.
- Coordinating with production and procurement teams for cost data and material consumption analysis.
- Preparing costing MIS reports and maintaining costing records.
- Assisting in inventory valuation, stock reconciliation, and cost allocation activities.
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities related to plant operations.
- Maintaining accuracy in ERP entries related to costing and inventory.
- Assisting during internal and external audits related to costing and inventory.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and costing procedures.
Candidate Profile
- 5–6 years of experience in costing and finance functions within a manufacturing company.
- Hands-on experience in product costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and cost structures.
- Experience in handling multiple SKUs within a manufacturing setup.
- Knowledge of BOM costing, standard costing, and profitability analysis.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / CMA Inter or equivalent qualification preferred.
