We are seeking a motivated and technically strong Laser Engineer with an M.Tech in Laser Technology to join our R&D and engineering team. The role involves working with laser systems, optical setups, and experimental development for industrial and research applications. Candidates should be flexible to work across both industrial and city locations and have hands-on exposure to laser systems.
M.Tech in Laser Technology (Mandatory)
Relevant background at UG level: Physics / Electronics / Mechanical / Applied Sciences
Assist in the design, development, and testing of laser-based systems and applications
Perform laser beam alignment , optical setup, and system calibration
Work with different laser sources such as fiber, solid-state, diode, or CO₂ lasers
Support laser processing applications such as cutting, welding, micromachining, or material interaction studies
Conduct experiments, collect data, and prepare technical reports
Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of laser equipment
Follow laser safety standards (IEC/ANSI) and lab safety protocols
Collaborate with R&D, production, and applications teams
Travel between Dabbaspet industrial facility and Bangalore office as required
Strong fundamentals in laser physics, optics, and photonics
Hands-on experience with laser labs / experimental setups
Knowledge of laser–matter interaction
Familiarity with optical components and beam delivery systems
Basic understanding of laser safety practices
Exposure to tools such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, Zemax, COMSOL is a plus
Ability to document experiments and communicate technical findings
Internship or project experience in laser systems
Experience with industrial or high-power lasers
Knowledge of optical simulation or thermal analysis
CAD exposure (AutoCAD / SolidWorks)
Willingness to learn and adapt in an industrial R&D environment
M.Tech Laser Technology graduate (mandatory)
Fresher or up to 1 year of relevant laser experience
Flexible to work in industrial and office environments
Strong problem-solving skills and interest in applied laser engineering
