Job Purpose

To deliver data integration initiatives that centralize data reporting and provide the business with visibility into processes, data quality, and key performance indicators to support improved decision making. The role develops data integration pipelines, transformation procedures, and Tableau reports to enhance operational efficiency and reporting capabilities. It works with business stakeholders to understand requirements, design and implement solutions, and communicate project progress to the project manager and business teams.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

Specialisation:

Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related field.

Professional/Regulatory/Certification Requirements:

Relevant certifications in data integration or data modeling are preferred.

Job Accountabilities and Weightage

Job Accountabilities (What is done and why)

Development of Data Integration Pipelines (30%)
Design, build, and deploy data ingestion pipelines using StreamSets Data Collector and Kafka to move data from different systems for reporting and analysis.
Process and transform data using SQL and PL/SQL procedures to prepare data for reporting and dashboards.
Orchestrate and automate data ingestion pipelines to ensure data is loaded on time and with minimal manual work.
Design and Implementation of Data Models (20%)
Design and implement star schema data models, including partitioning and distribution strategies to organize data for efficient reporting and analysis.
Create semantic layers and data marts to make data easier for reporting and business use.
Build aggregate tables to improve the speed and performance of reports and dashboards.
Design and Development of Tableau Dashboards (30%)
Design and develop Tableau dashboards and visualizations to show business KPIs and performance clearly.
Create Tableau data models and compose sheets to support meaningful data analysis.
Develop Tableau workbooks using containers, parameters, and automated data extracts to provide reliable and easy-to-use dashboards.
Operational support and administration of Data Integration platform (10%)
Monitor the data integration platform and applications to ensure systems run smoothly and reliably.
Maintain system logs and troubleshoot issues to support stable platform operations.
Perform security updates and system patching to maintain system security and stability.
Requirements Gathering and Project Reporting (10%)
Analyze data and define KPIs to support business performance tracking.
Work with business users to gather requirements and manage expectations to ensure solutions meet business needs.
Plan project activities and resolve dependencies to support timely delivery of data integration projects.
