Assistant Manager – Projects & Maintenance

Role Overview

Responsible for project execution and maintenance activities across plants, including greenfield, brownfield, plant expansion, new plant setup, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance. The role will ensure timely project completion, equipment reliability, cost control, operational continuity, and compliance with safety and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Plan and execute greenfield, brownfield, plant expansion, and new plant projects.

· Manage equipment installation, erection, commissioning, trial runs, and project handover.

· Lead preventive and breakdown maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

· Coordinate with vendors, contractors, consultants, OEMs, and plant teams.

· Monitor project timelines, CAPEX, budgets, resources, and contractor performance.

· Prepare and review 2D AutoCAD drawings, layouts, and project documentation.

· Develop maintenance schedules and monitor maintenance KPIs, reports, and performance.

· Support new plant commissioning, stabilization, and transition to operations.

· Identify equipment and operational issues and implement debottlenecking and improvement measures.

· Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, and company requirements.

· Drive cost optimization, process standardization, and productivity improvement across plants.

· Maintain proper project, equipment, maintenance, and handover documentation.

Team & Stakeholder Management

· Manage and guide a team of 3 members.

· Coordinate with plant teams, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.

· Ensure timely communication and closure of project and maintenance activities.

Industry Preference

Candidates with experience in Cement, Wall Putty, Gypsum, or similar manufacturing industries will be preferred, particularly those with exposure to plant projects, expansion, commissioning, and maintenance.
