Position: R&D Manager – Cosmetics
Location: Egypt

Lead end-to-end Research & Development activities for cosmetic products.
Develop innovative formulations aligned with market trends and customer requirements.
Drive New Product Development (NPD) from concept to commercialization.
Optimize existing formulations to improve quality, performance, and cost efficiency.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, and Marketing.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and quality standards.
Conduct product trials, stability studies, and validation activities.
Identify new raw materials, technologies, and industry trends to support continuous innovation.
Maintain complete technical documentation related to formulations and product development.

15–20 years of experience in Cosmetics R&D.
Strong hands-on experience in cosmetic formulations and new product development.
In-depth knowledge of raw materials, formulation techniques, and manufacturing processes.
Experience in managing R&D projects and leading technical teams.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

How many years of hands-on R&D experience do you have?
How many members are currently working in your R&D team , and how many report directly to you?
Who do you currently report to ?
Have you handled the complete NPD process , from receiving the product brief/formulation to final commercialization? Please explain.
Approximately how many products have you personally taken from formulation/NPD to commercialization ?
Do you independently develop formulations based on NPD briefs, or do you mainly work on formulations provided by senior management/clients?
Which Cosmetic/Personal Care products have you personally formulated and commercialized?
Have you worked with active-based formulations such as Vitamin C, Niacinamide, AHA/BHA, Peptides, Ceramides, Hyaluronic Acid , etc.? Please mention examples.
Have you worked on improving existing formulations or reducing product cost ? If yes, please share one example and explain what you changed.
What type of R&D documentation do you personally handle?
How closely do you work with QC, Production, Regulatory, Purchase and NPD/Marketing teams ?
