Plant Head – Key Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for plant operations, production and manufacturing performance .
Lead production planning and execution as per business requirements.
Ensure optimum utilisation of machinery, manpower, raw materials and other resources .
Monitor daily production, productivity, OEE, quality and operational efficiency .
Ensure timely achievement of production targets and dispatch requirements .
Manage plant manpower, shift operations and workforce productivity .
Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, SCM, Stores, EHS and Dispatch teams.
Ensure availability and proper utilisation of raw materials and packing materials .
Drive cost reduction, productivity improvement and process optimisation .
Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, safety and statutory requirements .
Lead initiatives related to 5S, Kaizen, TPM, continuous improvement and waste reduction .
Handle preventive maintenance and plant upkeep in coordination with the maintenance team.
Monitor plant KPIs and prepare MIS/reporting for senior management .
Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
Ensure smooth coordination between production, stores, quality, maintenance and dispatch .

Ideal Candidate

Experience in Plant Operations / Plant Head / Factory Head / Production Head roles.
Preferably from dry-mix mortar, wall putty, tile adhesives, construction chemicals, cement-based products, building materials, paints/coatings or allied manufacturing .
Large-capacity plant experience is preferred. Candidates with hands-on experience in VRM (Vertical Roller Mill) machinery will be highly preferred.
Strong experience in production planning, manpower handling, plant operations and productivity improvement .
Should have handled large-scale manufacturing operations and multiple functions .
Strong knowledge of quality, safety, maintenance, cost control and process improvement .
Experience with ERP/SAP, production MIS and manufacturing KPIs would be preferred.
