About the Role
We are seeking a highly competent Assistant Manager – Accounts Payable with
strong exposure to Costing and Budgeting functions within a manufacturing
environment. The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical skills,
hands-on experience in accounts payable processes, cost accounting,
budgeting, and financial controls.
Candidates with ICWA/CMA qualification and manufacturing industry experience
will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable

Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable processes, including vendor invoice
verification, accounting, and payment processing.

Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments and reconciliation of supplier
accounts.

Monitor outstanding payables and resolve discrepancies with vendors and
internal stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and
internal controls.

Costing & Cost Control (Mandatory)

Prepare and analyze product costing, standard costing, and variance
reports.

Monitor manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost
optimization.

Conduct cost analysis related to raw materials, production processes, and
overheads.

Support management with cost-saving initiatives and profitability
analysis.

Budgeting & Financial Planning (Mandatory)

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.

Track actual performance against budgets and perform variance analysis.

Coordinate with department heads for budget planning and monitoring.

Prepare MIS reports and financial insights for management review

Financial Controls & Reporting

Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Ensure accurate accounting entries and ledger reconciliations.

Assist in statutory, internal, and cost audits.

Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Desired Candidate Profile

5–10 years of experience in Accounts Payable within a manufacturing
company.

Mandatory experience in Costing and Budgeting.

Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting and cost structures.

Experience in vendor management and financial reporting.

Exposure to ERP systems and advanced Excel.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
