Position: Assistant Manager – Market Operations

Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee and execute market
operations in the power sector. The role requires strong expertise in
scheduling, trading, and reconciliation, along with proven team handling
experience.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee and execute operational systems, processes, and infrastructure
with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Handle Bilateral, Collective, REC & ESCERT trades.

Upload and verify POC charges, transmission losses, distribution charges,
and operating charges.
- Ensure correct mapping of NOC for new and existing clients.

Coordinate across departments to resolve operational issues (cash limits,
enablement/disablement, curtailment).

Address customer queries, provide technical solutions, and ensure smooth
trading operations.

Prepare reconciliation statements (charges, obligations, margins, GST
payments).

Coordinate with CERC, RLDC, NLDC, SLDC for operational activities and
compliance.

Prepare audit reports, deviation reports, and other regulatory
submissions.

Identify process/report defects and coordinate with IT for rectification.

Conduct UAT for trading system functionalities (order entry, cancellation,
margin, obligation generation, pay-in/pay-out).

Lead and mentor a team to ensure timely execution of market operations.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s in Engineering (Electrical/Power/Power Systems). MBA in Power
Management/Power Systems preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years in power market trading, transmission, grid management,
NLDC/SLDC coordination, reconciliations.
Team Handling:
Proven experience in leading and managing operational teams.
Technical Expertise:
- Deep understanding of power scheduling procedures.
- Knowledge of Electricity Act, Grid Code, and open access.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (macros, VBA).
Competencies:
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time-critical workloads.
