15+ years of relevant experience in Injection Moulding / Plastics Manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior plant leadership role .
Manika Plastech is looking for an experienced and technically strong AGM / DGM – Plant Production to lead plant production and technical operations at its Dehradun manufacturing facility.
The position will be responsible for driving end-to-end injection moulding operations, production performance, tooling, maintenance coordination, quality systems, cost optimisation, automation and continuous improvement .
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in plastic injection moulding , preferably in the automotive / auto-component or battery component industry , along with proven experience managing cross-functional plant teams and senior HODs.
Lead overall plant production and technical operations.
Manage and coordinate with HODs across Production, Tool Room, Maintenance, Quality and other plant functions.
Drive cross-functional coordination to ensure smooth plant operations.
Establish operational targets and monitor plant KPIs.
Develop and mentor technical and managerial teams.
Drive accountability, discipline and performance culture across the plant.
Lead end-to-end Injection Moulding operations .
Manage injection moulding machines, preferably including Windsor and Milacron machines in the 100T–650T range .
Oversee machine setting, parameter setting, process optimisation and troubleshooting.
Improve machine utilisation, OEE, productivity and production yield.
Reduce rejection, rework, cycle time and machine downtime.
Ensure consistent process capability and quality output.
Drive standardisation of moulding processes and machine parameters.
Provide technical leadership to the Tool Room / Mould Maintenance function.
Ensure effective mould preventive maintenance and repair programmes.
Develop systems for mould life management and performance monitoring.
Support mould design, modification, troubleshooting and repair.
Ensure timely resolution of mould-related production issues.
Improve mould availability, reliability and cycle performance.
Ensure implementation of plant Quality Management Systems.
Drive compliance with applicable ISO / IATF automotive quality standards .

Monitor rejection, rework, customer complaints and process deviations.
Lead corrective and preventive actions.
Support customer audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
Work closely with Quality and Customer teams to resolve complaints.
Work closely with Maintenance to ensure high equipment reliability.
Drive Preventive Maintenance (PM), Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) and Maintenance Prevention initiatives.
Monitor breakdowns, MTBF, MTTR and downtime.
Analyse equipment failures and drive root-cause-based corrective actions.
Ensure maintenance planning through SAP PM .
Improve machine availability and reliability.
Monitor energy and utility consumption.
Ensure production plans are achieved as per customer requirements.
Coordinate with PPC, Stores, Quality, Maintenance and Dispatch teams.
Drive OTD / OTIF performance.
Ensure optimum utilisation of machines, manpower, moulds and materials.
Monitor production versus plan and take corrective action.
Ensure effective shift planning and manpower deployment.
Drive manufacturing cost reduction initiatives.
Control consumption of raw materials, power, utilities, manpower, consumables and maintenance spares.
Identify opportunities for material optimisation and substitution.
Reduce scrap, rejection, rework and process losses.
Drive productivity improvement through process optimisation and technology.
Identify and implement automation opportunities.
Lead projects focused on manpower reduction, productivity improvement, cycle-time reduction, quality improvement, material savings and energy reduction.
Conduct feasibility and ROI analysis for automation and CAPEX projects.
Drive Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Promote data-driven problem solving and operational excellence.
Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures and statutory requirements.
Work closely with EHS / Safety teams.
Drive 5S and workplace organisation.
Ensure safe operation of injection moulding machines and associated equipment.
Promote a strong safety and compliance culture.
Lead and develop Production, Tool Room, Maintenance and technical teams.
Build a strong second line of leadership.
Identify training and capability-development requirements.
Conduct regular performance reviews and KPI assessments.
Improve technical competency of engineers, supervisors and operators.
Promote teamwork, accountability and employee engagement.
Effectively manage conflicts and employee-related operational issues.
B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Polymer, Plastics, Production, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
15+ years of overall experience in Injection Moulding / Plastics Manufacturing.
Minimum 5 years in a senior plant / production leadership position .
Strong hands-on experience in Injection Moulding operations.
Experience managing a complete plant or major production function.
Automotive / Auto Component / Battery Component experience preferred.
Experience managing cross-functional HODs and technical teams.
