Role Summary
We are looking for an
Accounts Executive / Sr. Executive
to manage day-to-day
Accounts Payable and payment processing activities
. The role will be responsible for verifying invoices and supporting
documents, processing vendor payments, maintaining payment records,
preparing MIS and ensuring compliance with company financial controls.
The role will also involve coordination with the
Tender team for EMD-related payments, MSME vendor review/compliance,
receivables & payables and petty cash management
.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounts Payable & Invoice Processing
-
Verify vendor invoices, payment requests and supporting documents.
-
Check invoices for accuracy, approvals and required documentation.
-
Ensure invoices are processed within defined timelines.
-
Maintain proper vendor and payment records.
-
Track outstanding payables and payment due dates.
2. Payment Processing
-
Review payment details and ensure appropriate approvals are in place.
-
Prepare and process vendor payments as per approved schedules.
-
Upload approved payment transactions into the designated banking/ERP
system.
-
Verify beneficiary details, payment amount and supporting documents before
processing.

Maintain payment proofs and transaction records.
3. Vendor Accounting & Reconciliation
-
Maintain vendor ledgers and outstanding statements.
-
Perform vendor account reconciliation.
-
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams regarding invoice/payment
queries.
-
Follow up on pending invoices, approvals and payment-related issues.
4. Tender & EMD Payments
-
Coordinate with the Tender team for
EMD-related payments and tender requirements
.
-
Process EMD deposits after obtaining the required approvals and documents.
-
Maintain records of EMD payments and related transactions.
-
Support tracking of EMD refunds/adjustments, wherever applicable.
5. MSME Vendor Compliance
-
Review and maintain MSME vendor details and documentation.
-
Track outstanding payments relating to MSME vendors.
-
Support the Finance team with
MSME-related reports and filings/compliance
.
-
Ensure relevant vendor information is properly maintained.
6. Petty Cash Management
-
Maintain petty cash records and supporting documents.
-
Verify bills and approvals for petty cash expenses.
-
Record petty cash transactions and perform periodic reconciliation.
7. MIS & Reporting
-
Prepare payment-related MIS and reports for the Finance team.
-
Prepare vendor outstanding and payment status reports.
-
Track pending invoices and upcoming payment obligations.
-
Maintain accurate records for management review and audit purposes.
8. Audit & Internal Controls
-
Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
-
Ensure payments are processed in accordance with company policies and
approval procedures.
-
Provide required documents and information during internal/statutory
audits.
-
Maintain confidentiality of financial and vendor-related information.
Required Skills

Good knowledge of
Accounts Payable and payment processing

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles

Vendor reconciliation and outstanding management

Good knowledge of
MS Excel

Experience with
ERP/accounting software

Good attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to handle high transaction volumes within timelines

Good coordination and communication skills

Knowledge of GST/TDS related invoice checks will be an advantage

Exposure to
EMD/Tender payments and MSME compliance
will be preferred
Preferred Candidate Profile

B.Com / M.Com
-
2–6 years of relevant experience
in Finance & Accounts
-
Candidates with strong
Accounts Payable / P2P / Vendor Accounting
experience will be preferred.

Experience in a manufacturing, infrastructure, engineering, construction,
EPC or other corporate environment will be an advantage.
