Role Purpose
The Lead – Factory Logistics & Warehouse Operations will be responsible
for
end-to-end factory warehouse, logistics and inventory operations
for the AMTZ manufacturing facility.
The role will own
inbound logistics, finished goods warehousing, outbound distribution,
inventory governance, reverse logistics, refurbishment, repair logistics,
demo asset management, cold chain operations and compliant disposal of
obsolete assets
.
The position will play a critical role in building a
safe, scalable, digitally enabled and operationally efficient warehouse
and logistics ecosystem
supporting manufacturing and customer fulfilment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Factory Warehouse & Logistics Leadership
-
Lead end-to-end warehouse and logistics operations at the AMTZ
manufacturing facility.

Establish safe, compliant, efficient and scalable warehouse operations.
-
Own warehouse, logistics and inventory performance for the facility.
-
Drive operational excellence, productivity and service-level adherence.
-
2. Instrument Operations
-
Manage receipt, inspection, verification, GRN and storage of locally
manufactured, imported and traded instruments.
-
Ensure accurate
serial-number capture, traceability and inventory control
.
-
Manage customer dispatches, CFA/regional warehouse transfers and export
shipments, wherever applicable.
-
Manage demo instrument issuance, returns and inventory.
-
Lead reverse logistics covering customer returns, verification, repacking,
refurbishment and repair coordination.
-
Coordinate cannibalisation and final disposal of obsolete
instruments/assets.
3. Reagent Operations
-
Manage receipt, inspection, storage and inventory of locally manufactured
and imported reagents.
-
Ensure compliance of relabelling activities for imported products.
-
Drive
FEFO, batch traceability and shelf-life management
.
-
Manage cold-chain storage, handling and transportation to maintain product
integrity.
-
Ensure timely customer deliveries and replenishment to CFAs/regional
warehouses.
4. Inventory Governance
-
Drive
100% inventory accuracy
across instruments, reagents, spares and accessories.
-
Establish robust cycle-counting, physical verification and reconciliation
processes.
-
Ensure complete batch and serial-number traceability.
-
Monitor inventory ageing, expiry, slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
-
Develop corrective actions to minimise inventory losses, ageing and
obsolescence.
5. Inbound & Outbound Logistics
-
Manage inbound receipts from suppliers, manufacturing facilities and
imports.
-
Plan and execute outbound dispatches to customers, CFAs and regional
warehouses.
-
Optimise transportation modes, vehicle utilisation and freight costs.
-
Ensure adherence to dispatch SLAs and OTIF targets.
-
Manage logistics partners, transporters and warehouse service providers.
6. Warehouse Operations Excellence & Digitalisation
-
Develop and implement SOPs for warehouse and logistics operations.
-
Drive Lean, continuous improvement, productivity and space-utilisation
initiatives.
-
Lead
WMS implementation, barcode scanning, warehouse automation and
digitalisation
projects.
-
Build real-time dashboards and operational MIS for warehouse and logistics
performance.
-
Identify opportunities for process automation and technology-led
efficiency improvement.
7. Manufacturing & Cross-Functional Coordination
-
Work closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Quality,
Regulatory Affairs, TSD, Finance and Customer Service.
-
Ensure timely availability of materials to support production schedules.
-
Ensure timely finished-goods dispatch and customer fulfilment.
-
Provide rapid response to business priorities, emergency requirements and
customer commitments.
8. Quality, Compliance & Safety
-
Ensure adherence to
GDP, GMP, ISO and applicable regulatory/company quality standards
.
-
Maintain complete audit readiness for internal, customer and regulatory
inspections.
-
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for storage, transportation
and disposal of regulated products.
-
Drive EHS compliance and establish a zero-harm culture within warehouse
and logistics operations.
9. Financial & Vendor Management
-
Prepare and manage warehouse and logistics budgets.
-
Drive continuous cost optimisation across warehousing and transportation.
-
Identify and implement freight and warehouse cost-saving initiatives.
-
Manage strategic logistics partners and service providers.
-
Establish vendor KPIs, SLAs and performance review mechanisms.
10. People Leadership
-
Build, develop and lead a high-performing warehouse and logistics team.
-
Set performance objectives and KPIs for team members.
-
Develop capability-building and succession plans.
-
Promote accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
-
Lead change-management initiatives supporting operational transformation.
Candidate Profile
-
Engineering Graduate;
MBA in Supply Chain / Operations preferred
.
-
18–22 years of overall experience
in manufacturing logistics and warehouse operations.
-
Strong experience in
Medical Devices, IVD, Pharmaceuticals or other regulated manufacturing
environments
.
-
Strong exposure to factory warehouse operations and manufacturing
logistics.
-
Hands-on experience in
Oracle / WMS and inventory governance
.
-
Strong understanding of batch/serial-number traceability and inventory
controls.
-
Exposure to
cold chain, reverse logistics and regulated product handling
will be highly preferred.
-
Proven experience in leading warehouse/logistics teams and external
logistics partners.
-
Strong understanding of GDP/GMP/ISO, EHS and audit compliance.
-
Experience in warehouse digitalisation, WMS implementation, automation or
barcode-based inventory systems will be an advantage.
