D365 F&O Functional Consultant
Objective:
D365 F&O Finance & SCM Consultant will be responsible for the
implementation, configuration, and optimization of the D365 F&O ERP
system, specifically focusing on finance and SCM modules including Projects
module. The consultant will work closely with our construction project teams
and finance department to ensure the system meets the unique requirements of
the construction industry, enhancing project delivery, cost control, and
financial reporting.
Roles and responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to
understand business processes, particularly in project management,
financial accounting, cost control, procurement, subcontracting, and
resource management within the construction industry.
System Design & Implementation: Design, configure, and implement
D365 F&O modules (Finance, Projects, Procurement, Subcontracting,
and Plant Management) to align with the company's construction
management needs.
Customization & Integration: Customize D365 F&O solutions to
meet specific business requirements, including integrating with other
construction tools and systems.
Project Costing & Financial Management: Provide expertise in setting
up project costing, budget management, cash flow management, WIP
(Work-in-Progress) accounting, and retention management tailored to
construction projects.
Data Migration & Quality Assurance: Lead data migration activities
from legacy systems to D365 F&O, ensuring data integrity and
consistency. Develop and execute test plans and coordinate User
Acceptance Testing (UAT) for customizations, if any.
User Training & Support: Conduct training sessions for end-users,
create user manuals, and provide ongoing support to ensure effective
adoption of the D365 F&O system.
Reporting & Compliance: Develop and optimize financial and project
reports that comply with industry standards, including
construction-specific financial reporting, taxation, and regulatory
requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively stay updated on the latest D365
F&O features and industry trends. Recommend and implement process
improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Collaboration with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers,
site engineers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure system
functionality aligns with business and project delivery needs.
Integration with existing system: Work closely with D356 F&O team to
integrate Trial balance and vouchers from D365 F&O to D365 F&O.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Business
Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in implementing and supporting D365
F&O ERP solutions, specifically focusing on Finance and Project
modules in a construction environment.
Strong knowledge of construction industry processes, including project
management, procurement, subcontracting, cost control, and financial
management.
Proficiency in configuring and customizing D365 F&O ERP modules
relevant to construction.
Experience with data migration, integration, and report development
within D365 F&O.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
