Executive Innovation Center - Extrusion

We are looking for a hands-on professional with strong expertise in dry blend preparation, twin-screw extrusion, and testing of PVC/CPVC products to join our Innovation Center at Thane.

This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with the R&D team, contribute to new product development, conduct extrusion trials, and play a key role in driving innovation in one of India's leading piping solutions companies.

• Reporting To: Sr. GM – Innovation Center (Head of R&D)

Role Purpose

The incumbent will be responsible for preparing PVC/CPVC dry blends, conducting extrusion trials, operating twin-screw extruders, performing product testing, and maintaining trial documentation to support product development and innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Dry Blend Preparation

• Prepare PVC and CPVC dry blends as per formulation requirements.
• Operate high-speed mixers for dry blending activities.
• Ensure consistency and quality during blend preparation.
• Understand and handle additives used in PVC/CPVC formulations.

Extrusion Operations

• Independently operate twin-screw extruders for PVC pipes, CPVC pipes, and profiles.
• Conduct extrusion trials for new formulations and product developments.
• Optimize processing parameters to achieve desired product quality.
• Troubleshoot extrusion-related process issues.

Product Testing & Evaluation

• Perform testing of PVC pipes, CPVC pipes, and profiles.
• Analyze trial results and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and testing protocols.

Equipment Handling & Maintenance

• Possess basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance of extrusion equipment.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance activities when required.
• Ensure proper machine utilization and upkeep.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain records and reports related to extrusion trials and testing activities.
• Prepare trial reports and observations for R&D reviews.
• Update data in SAP/ERP systems as applicable.
• Utilize MS Excel for analysis and reporting.

Education

Mandatory:

• Full-time Diploma in Plastics Engineering / Polymer Engineering.

Preferred:

• B.Tech in Plastics / Polymer Engineering.

Experience

• 6–9 years of hands-on experience in PVC/CPVC extrusion operations.
• Experience in PVC Pipes, CPVC Pipes, Profiles, or related extrusion products.
• Exposure to R&D, Innovation Center, Technical Services, or Product Development environments will be preferred.
