Century Plyboards (India) Ltd. through its flagship brand CenturyPly, has continued to be at the forefront of the plywood industry since 1986. Soon, successful strides were taken in India’s decoratives industry, establishing CenturyLaminates & CenturyVeneers as key dominant players. These award winning products have been redefining Indian realty and bringing about a paradigm shift in the concept of living spaces, making CenturyPly the largest seller of multi-use plywood and decorative veneers in the Indian organized plywood market. All CenturyPly offering is manufactured by observing the most strenuous quality checks and norms, ensuring that each product is the best in India. The CenturyPly product range comprises Plywood, Block Boards, Doors, Laminates and Veneers.

· The Badvel plant refers to Century Plyboards’ large integrated wood panel manufacturing unit located in Badvel, YSR Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh

· It was inaugurated in December 2023 with a phase-1 investment of ~ ₹1,000 crore .

This plant spans about 100 acres on land leased for 33 years. · It is designed to produce laminates, MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard), and PVC boards .

· The Therovy Kandigai unit is a particle board manufacturing plant near Chennai (Tamil Nadu).

· It was recently commissioned (as of mid-2025) and is being touted as India’s largest particle board plant .

· Its daily production capacity is ~ 800 cubic metres of particle board

Role – Head SCM

Reports Into – Cluster Manufacturing Head

1. Supply Chain Strategy & Planning

Develop and implement the overall SCM strategy aligned with business objectives for plants.
Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to balance demand, supply, and production capacities.
Establish KPIs for supply chain performance (OTIF, inventory turns, cost per ton, etc.).

2. Procurement & Vendor Management

Develop a reliable vendor ecosystem ensuring quality, cost competitiveness, and continuity of supply.
Negotiate long-term contracts and maintain relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.

4. Logistics & Distribution

Manage inbound and outbound logistics.
Oversee 3PL operations, freight negotiations, and logistics performance monitoring.
Ensure compliance with statutory and safety requirements in all logistics operations.

5. Warehousing & Inventory Management

Supervise central and plant-level warehouses for raw material, WIP, and finished goods.
Implement best practices for storage, safety, and space utilization.

6. Cost Optimization & Efficiency

Identify opportunities for cost reduction in procurement, transportation, and inventory management.
Benchmark performance against industry standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Monitor working capital and ensure efficient cash flow through optimized inventory cycles.

7. Team Leadership & Development

Lead and mentor teams across plants—procurement, logistics, and planning.
Foster collaboration, accountability, and performance-driven culture.
Develop SCM competencies and succession plans for critical roles.
