Job Title: Senior Procurement Executive – Packaging & Materials 

Job Summary 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Executive to manage end-to-end sourcing and procurement of packaging materials across primary, secondary, and tertiary formats. The role involves vendor development, cost optimization, quotation analysis, ERP-based purchase management, and close coordination with production, quality, and packaging development teams. The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to FMCG/Personal Care/Agrochemical packaging procurement with hands-on experience in SAP/ERP systems. 

Key Responsibilities 

•              Handle complete procurement cycle for packaging materials – sourcing, RFQ, negotiation, PO release, and delivery tracking 

•              Develop, evaluate, and onboard new vendors; maintain approved vendor list and conduct supplier audits 

•              Collect quotations, prepare comparison sheets, and negotiate pricing for cost reduction 

•              Raise purchase orders and manage procurement through SAP/ERP systems 

•              Coordinate with packaging development, production, QA, and planning teams for timely material availability 

•              Prepare and maintain packaging specifications, BOMs, and procurement documentation 

•              Ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and adherence to technical standards 

•              Manage artwork approvals, shade cards, and printing coordination with suppliers 

•              Conduct vendor performance reviews and resolve quality issues, complaints, and deviations 

•              Support new product development (NPD) projects through timely sourcing and trials 

•              Drive cost-saving initiatives, alternate sourcing, and process improvements 

•              Maintain MIS reports, inventory tracking, and procurement analytics 

Required Skills 

•              Vendor sourcing & development 

•              Strong negotiation & cost control 

•              SAP/ERP procurement operations 

•              BOM & specification management 

•              Packaging materials knowledge (labels, cartons, bottles, laminates, etc.) 

•              Supplier coordination & follow-ups 

•              Analytical skills (Excel, cost comparison sheets)

Qualifications 

•              Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Technology/Engineering/Supply Chain/Commerce/related field 

•              3–6 years of experience in Packaging Procurement / Purchase / Sourcing 

•              Experience in FMCG 

•              Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems
