At BigBasket , DC HR = Distribution Center HR , meaning you’ll handle HR for warehouse / dark store / logistics workforce .

👉 Focus is heavily on blue-collar hiring + HR operations (delivery boys, pickers, loaders, warehouse staff, bikers, etc.)

🎯 Key Responsibilities (Blue Collar Hiring Focus)

1. High-volume / bulk hiring

• Hire delivery executives, warehouse associates, pickers, loaders

• Conduct walk-ins, field hiring, vendor hiring, referral drives

2. End-to-end recruitment

• Screening & shortlisting candidates

• Telephonic interviews / basic assessments

• Interview coordination with operations team

• Offer rollout & joining follow-up

3. Manpower planning & closure

• Understand daily/weekly manpower requirements from warehouse

• Ensure positions are filled within tight timelines

• Handle mass hiring pressure (targets-based role)

4. Onboarding & documentation

• Joining formalities (KYC, documents, contracts)

• Induction of new hires

• Maintaining candidate database

5. HR Operations (very important)

• Attendance & shift management

• Payroll inputs & coordination

• Statutory compliance (ESI, PF, labour laws)

• Handling grievances (salary, shift, behaviour issues)

6. Employee engagement & retention

• Reduce attrition (very high in blue-collar roles)

• Conduct engagement activities

• Handle exits & feedback analysis
