Role Title: - Deputy Manager – Information Technology (Plant IT Operations)
Location: -Hoshiarpur
Reporting Into: - IT Head / Plant Head (as applicable)

Role Purpose

To lead and manage end-to-end IT infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and user support for the Hoshiarpur manufacturing plant, ensuring high system availability, data integrity, and alignment with corporate IT policies.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Infrastructure & Operations Management

• Manage servers, networks, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VPN, internet leased lines
• Ensure uptime of plant IT systems and production-critical applications
• Oversee data center, backup, DR drills, and storage management
• Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for AMC, warranty & support contracts

2. Plant Systems & Manufacturing Application Support

• Support ERP (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics etc.) and production applications
• Coordinate with central IT for rollout of corporate IT initiatives
• Manage shop-floor automation integrations (SCADA/MES as applicable)
• Support barcoding systems, handheld terminals, printers and PLC connectivity

3. Cybersecurity & Compliance

• Implement IT security policies and endpoint security solutions
• Access control management, Active Directory & user provisioning
• Conduct regular security audits, patching and vulnerability remediation
• Ensure compliance with ISO/ISMS and company IT governance norms

4. IT Service Management

• Lead helpdesk/team for plant IT support
• Define SLAs, incident management, change management
• Maintain IT asset inventory and software license compliance
• Vendor management and procurement coordination

5. Projects & Implementation

• Execute new IT infrastructure upgrades at the plant
• Lead digital transformation initiatives and Industry 4.0 projects
• Coordinate CCTV, biometric attendance, access control systems

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain network diagrams, asset records, SOPs
• Prepare MIS reports on downtime, incidents, projects, cost saving

Required Qualifications & Experience

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science / IT / Electronics or MCA
• 6–10+ years of experience in IT, preferably in manufacturing plant environment
• Experience managing ERP and production systems preferred

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of:
  • Windows/Linux Server administration
  • LAN/WAN, routing, switching, firewall management
  • Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
  • Backup solutions & storage systems
  • AD, DNS, DHCP, Office 365
  • Endpoint security & DLP tools
• Exposure to:
  • SAP/ERP support
  • OT network security
  • CCTV/Biometric systems
