Automobile Gasket Solutions — Graphite & Metallic Gaskets for Automotive
Systems
Kolkata, WB
3–10 Years Exp.
Automobile Gaskets
Full-Time
ABOUT THE COMPANY
JD Jones & Co (P) Ltd is a century-old manufacturing company (est. 1923) based
in West Bengal, specialising in fluid sealing products—gland packing, gaskets,
PTFE components, and specialty lubricants—under the PACMAAN and ROLGARD
brands. We are ISO 9001:2015 certified with a growing global export footprint.
We are now expanding into the automobile sealing segment—covering all kinds of
graphite and metallic gaskets used in automotive systems, including DPF
gaskets, graphite exhaust gaskets, engineered gaskets, EGR joints, cylinder
head joints, turbocharger connections, and manifold joints. We need a Sales &
Marketing Engineer from the automobile industry who knows the product, knows
the customers, and can build this market for us.
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS — THE 12-MONTH MISSION
This is a market-building hire. We are entering the automobile gasket space
and need someone who brings an existing customer network and deep domain
knowledge from the automotive industry. Here is what you will own in your
first year:
-
Bring a Ready Automobile Customer Network:
You will bring an existing customer base and industry relationships from
your experience in automotive gaskets or automobile sealing products. You
should already know the buyers, engineers, and decision-makers at
companies like Dinex, Automan, Fischer, Teconnex, Cummins, JCB, and
similar automobile and engine manufacturers—and be able to activate those
relationships for JD Jones.
-
Deep Product & Application Knowledge:
You will be expected to know automobile gaskets inside out—DPF gaskets,
graphite exhaust gaskets, engineered gaskets, EGR joints, cylinder head
joints, exhaust flange sealing, turbocharger connections, manifold joints,
and other automotive sealing applications. You must be able to recommend
the right gasket type, material, and specification for the right vehicle
system without needing hand-holding from production.
-
Build Product–Market Intelligence:
You will map our automobile gasket range to vehicle systems (exhaust,
DPF/emission, engine, turbo, EGR), customer segments, and market
requirements. You will identify which products have the highest growth
potential, which customers are underserved, and where we can win against
competitors—feeding this intelligence back to production and management.
-
Drive Revenue from Day One:
You will be expected to generate enquiries, convert opportunities, and
close orders from your first quarter. This role is measured on revenue,
margin, and pipeline growth—not just activity.
-
Expand Market Presence:
Establish JD Jones as a credible, technically strong automobile gasket
supplier with customers like Dinex, Automan, Fischer, Teconnex, Cummins,
JCB, and across the broader automotive supply chain.
