Job Title: Assistant Manager

Job Summary  

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to manage end-to-end sourcing and procurement of packaging materials across primary, secondary, and tertiary formats. The role involves vendor development, cost optimization, quotation analysis, ERP-based purchase management, and close coordination with production, quality, and packaging development teams. The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to FMCG/Personal Care/Agrochemical packaging procurement with hands-on experience in SAP/ERP systems.  

Key Responsibilities                                                                                       

•          Float enquiry to 3 supplier partners                                                                                        

• Rate & Vendor finalization of PM for laminate, Rigid, CFB, Labels, Mono cartons, shrink sleeve, Woven Bag and miscellaneous                                                                                     

• Procurement of printing cylinder                                                                                             

• Providing value chain costing                                                                                     

• Actively Identifying POV Ideas to improve Margins                                                                                         

• Timely Payment of Supplier partners                                                                                     

• arranging trial material                                                                                  

•  Alternate supplier development                                                                                             

• Resolving quality disputes                                                                                           

• Article code creation                                                                                     

• Follow up for GRN                                                                                          

• To Attend CFT meeting                                                                                

• Follow up with supplier Partners for delivery of PM                                                                                        

• Follow up for PO Creation and get It released till 4th Level

Required Skills  

•              Vendor sourcing & development  

•              Strong negotiation & cost control  

•              SAP/ERP procurement operations  

•              BOM & specification management  

•              Packaging materials knowledge (labels, cartons, bottles, laminates, etc.)  

•              Supplier coordination & follow-ups  

•              Analytical skills (Excel, cost comparison sheets)  

•              Cross-functional communication  

Qualifications  

•              Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Technology/Engineering/Supply Chain/Commerce/related field  

•              3–6 years of experience in Packaging Procurement / Purchase / Sourcing  

•              Experience in FMCG  

•              Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems
