Lead NPA - Collections
Job Summary:
The Collections and Recovery Manager plays a pivotal role in optimizing the
end-to-end collections process for our loan portfolios, with a strong focus on
Non-Performing Assets (NPAs). You will implement innovative recovery
strategies while leading a committed team to ensure efficiency and compliance
within our collection practices.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the end-to-end collections and recovery process across loan
portfolios, focusing specifically on the NPA portfolio.

Monitor, analyze, and control delinquency across early, mid, and late-stage
buckets to identify trends and inform strategy.

Develop and implement effective recovery strategies tailored for
Non-Performing Assets (NPAs), driving improvement in recovery rates.

Drive data-driven collection initiatives using Management Information
Systems (MIS), analytics, and recovery dashboards to streamline processes.

Leverage technology and digital collection tools to enhance efficiency and
achieve optimum outcomes in recovery efforts.

Lead, mentor, and motivate the collections and recovery teams, fostering a
high-performance culture to achieve organizational targets.

Ensure strict compliance with RBI, NBFC, and internal regulatory guidelines
across all collection practices, maintaining the integrity of operations.

Coordinate with legal teams to initiate and manage recovery through legal
channels such as SARFAESI, arbitration, and other applicable processes.

Manage and oversee outsourced collection agencies and recovery vendors,
ensuring Service Level Agreement (SLA) adherence and ethical practices.

Balance risk mitigation and recovery goals while maintaining
customer-centric and fair collection practices.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; a
Master's degree or MBA is preferred.

5+ years of experience in collections and recovery management, preferably in
the financial services or banking sector.

Strong knowledge of compliance regulations including RBI and NBFC guidelines
surrounding collections.

Proven ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights that drive
recovery strategies and improve performance.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of
mentoring and motivating teams.

Familiarity with digital and technological tools for collections management
and recovery processes.

Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the
ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in collections management or related field.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency in using advanced analytics tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with legal recovery processes and frameworks.
