Role Overview:
The Area Sales Executive (ASE) plays a pivotal role in driving sales and
maintaining strong
relationships with key accounts within the designated region. This position
requires a dynamic
individual with GT-channel management experience, strong relationship-building
skills, and
proficiency in route planning and merchandising. The ASE will be responsible
for customer
engagement, route planning, merchandising, sales promotion, inventory
management, compliance,
feedback collection, and assisting in acquisition, retention, and commercial
closure of accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Engagement: Build and nurture strong relationships with store
owners,
addressing their queries and concerns promptly to foster goodwill and trust.
2. Route Planning: Efficiently plan and execute routes for store visits,
optimizing coverage and
ensuring maximum visibility and accessibility.
3. Merchandising: Ensure effective merchandising and branding within stores,
strategically
placing products to enhance visibility and drive sales.
4. Sales Promotion: Implement sales promotion activities and campaigns at the
store level,
collaborating with the marketing team to drive product awareness and demand.
5. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels at stores,
ensuring adequate
stock availability to meet consumer demand and minimize stockouts
6. Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all company policies and guidelines,
including
pricing, promotions, branding, and display standards.
7. Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from store owners and customers
regarding product
performance, service quality, and market preferences to drive continuous
improvement
initiatives.
8. Acquisition, Retention & Commercial Closure: Assist in acquisition,
retention, and
commercial closure of accounts, supporting the Area Sales Manager in achieving
revenue
targets.
9. Travel: Follow the prescribed journey plan (PJP) and travel as per schedule
to visit assigned
stores, covering the designated territory effectively.
10. Monthly Revenue & Category Profits: Monitor and track monthly
revenue performance and
category-wise profit margins, contributing to the overall sales objectives of
the region.
Candidate Profile:
GT-Channel Management Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in
GT-channel
management, preferably with reputable FMCG companies.
Language Proficiency: Proficiency in the local language is mandatory for
effective
communication and relationship building.
Relationship & Negotiation Skills: Good interpersonal skills with
the ability to build rapport
and negotiate effectively with stakeholders.
