About the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Prepare and manage financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term plans for the designated product category. Monitor and track financial performance, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Category Profitability: Analyze the profitability of specific categories by assessing sales, margins, and costs. Provide recommendations to improve cost efficiencies and profitability.
- Reporting: Generate financial reports and performance reviews for senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities within the category.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, supply chain, and other departments to understand and analyze category performance. Provide financial insights to support decision-making on product development, pricing, promotions, and inventory management.
- Cost Control: Monitor category-specific expenses and ensure they align with budgeted figures. Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Strategic Support: Provide financial insight for new product launches, pricing strategies, and investment decisions within the category. Support the development and execution of category business plans.
- Business Partnering: Act as a business partner to category managers and other stakeholders by providing financial advice, analysis, and strategic support.
- Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitive landscape, and economic conditions to anticipate changes that may impact category performance
SAP Proficiency: Use SAP module to streamline financial processes, generate reports, and troubleshoot functional issues.
