About the role
Job Summary
The Mechanical Draftsman will support Century Ply’s engineering and production teams by preparing detailed mechanical drawings, layouts, and CAD designs for equipment, tooling, and manufacturing processes used in production and plant operations. The role ensures that designs are accurate, manufacturing-ready, and compliant with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities

Create detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).

Prepare fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings for mechanical components and equipment.

Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and instructions to develop technical drawings.

Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers, production, and quality teams.

Ensure accuracy, proper scaling, and compliance with industry and company drafting standards.

Collaborate with mechanical engineers to support design development and resolve technical issues.

Maintain organized documentation, drawing archives, and revision histories.

Assist in generating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and part lists from drawings.
